Endgame With the Doctor revealed to be a Cyberman, paranoia was running rampant. No one person took charge to bring everyone together and find the remaining Cybermen. Everyone seemed to just settle on Mickey and say that by process of elimination he has to be a Cyberman. Once they shot him with their Anti-Cyber Gun, they realized that he wasn’t a Cyberman. It was only then did they notice that Amy seemed to be acting weird, but it was too late. The Cyberman’s holographic disguise dropped and began indiscriminately DELETING the survivors. He did let the Emperor live, but dragged him away to begin the terrible conversion process… The Doctor saw all of this. He was broken. His sadness couldn’t be expressed, but his anger could be. He knew that he would be regenerating soon and that his regeneration would purge the Cyberman from him, but it wouldn’t purge the holes in his heart left by his now deceased and converted friends. The remaining Cyberman was too distracted DELETING all but the Emperor to notice the Doctor escaping through passageways he discovered while converted and had access to the Cybermen memory banks. As he made his way to the TARDIS, he knew that from now on there would be no mercy and that nothing would stop him from his new purpose... Hopeless1der as Mickey Smith has been lynched! + Show Spoiler [Role PM] + You are Mickey Smith, ex-boyfriend of Rose Tyler. You hate it when she leaves on her escapades with the Doctor and have even taken to following her for what little time you see her. You are a watcher, but you target whoever Rose Tyler targets. (You never see Rose visit someone and if Rose isn't in game, it is a random selection of who you watch). You win with the Town. Vote Count Hopeless1der (4) - thrawn2112, austinmcc, Amiko, Tehpoofter thrawn2112 (1) - Hopeless1der Not Voting (0) - No one. Hopeless1der is lynched! The Cybermen kushm4sta, kitaman27, austinmcc, and Amiko win! There was nothing town could do to prevent the conversion and kill, so the Cybermen won. Obs QT Mafia QT Host Spreadsheet Read the first posts of the mafia QT to understand what the Cybermen’s powers were. Also, I’d like to hear everyone’s opinions on everything: the setup, the balance, the hosting, etc. This is now the appropriate time to discuss stuff involving Toad/Foolishness. | ||

 I got converted after the kush lynch but before the kita nuke. I was all ready for glorious town victory and then had to be all red for a day. | ||

I don't think I could have been convinced Austin was the only scum left. I considered he Austin might have been converted; slightly because his play was a little different, but also because I felt like scum would be fairly weak if they only had one conversion. But honestly, it was like, god if I have to deal with him I'll do it tomorrow. I didn't really consider the possibility that he would be converted as the rest of the scumteam died... probably largely my fault for running with the assumption that there wouldn't be 1 scum on D1. Sorry to town but I will remember you in my newly upgraded memory banks. | ||

First, thanks for hosting. I actually went and watched the recent reboot of Dr. Who after the last Dr. Who game, and it was a little more fun knowing something about the characters and whatnot. And getting to be Amy. Second, having been on both sides of the fence, I think there needs to be SOME information about what scum is doing, or at the very least some way to stop it consistently. A slightly less-powered town and scum not having the ability to take factional actions, perhaps, or the Doctor not being in the game, and a future version of the doctor visiting on D3 or D4 with a little information on how Cybermen are upgrading folks, maybe. Without notifications OR an idea of exactly how the scum team was working, it was going to be very very difficult for town in the final couple lynches. I don't think the game was imbalanced as set up, a lot of things just...happened. Kita saw djo N1 and then got converted immediately. I would have RBed kita, but was RBed by vivax. A split second where if we'd lynched kush and nuked kita, we MAYBE win the game at the end of D3 before I'm converted going into N3? Rayn...helping lynch himself. Just a lot of little things swung this game to being somewhat easy to close out as scum. The ONLY possible balance issue I can see is that scum get 1 KP and 1 conversion per night, which is a chunk. Town gets 2 RBs, and scum starts off with only 1 member, but that's a lot of scum firepower. I think in balancing out a weak weak start for the cybermen and a powerful town with a LOT of scum juice feels like it snowballs one side or the other, and maybe both sides being toned down would make it less swingy? | ||

Just in case you roleblocked someone doing something neat, and also because why wouldn't scum shoot you when you were scummy on kush, kita was attacking you, you wanted kita nuked, kita flipped scum, and you had the JK role? The hosts actually corrected a PM to me 2-3 times so I felt like hopeless' claim that he had gotten an error was believable. It didn't occur to me initially, but I felt that rather than involve hopeless, the real effect of the PM-issue was that it made me feel strongly that Vivax was town. In other words, if hopeless was telling the truth, then vivax was town because he roleblocked. If hopeless was lying, he was doing it in a way that made him confirm vivax. It wasn't a 100% modconfirm or anything (and I didn't mention it at all in thread cause I feel like generally just don't talk about mods) so not gamebreaking, but it did make me feel more trusting of Vivax. | ||
