Why does that read = voting yourself as mayor or was it two disjointed thoughts?

Pm from GGTemplar, he asked me this twice once in tl pm and once in IRC and also asked thrawn in pms.

Role-fishing this early is pretty weird. I don't see how that's useful at all to him at this point, nor do I see how he expected anybody to actually answer him without anything have happened yet.

^_^
So seriously though, your explanation to me wasn't really that solid... "worth a try", why do you care? I expect you to know better.

I'm just bringing the info I get forward... it's probably too scummy to be scum or whatever but i'll let people make their own opinions.
It's pretty clear why it's scummy though:
1. You're asking for blue claims. 2. You aren't confirmed town.
There's absolutely no reason for you to be asking that for your reasons, but if you want that then you may as well just ask everybody to mass claim since the claims will probably make it to the thread eventually anyways.

Just randomly asking people if they were a role.
|
huh? That was my campaign? What are you talking about
|
Why... so far all im hearing from bum is just generic ideas and no reads.

Paranoid about my well-being? How so?

You said you wanted to put a lot of stock into who votes for who. My first thought is:
- He wants to deduce relationships between people.
So I then think, well relationships are useless between unflipped players, so he must be planning on lynching a mayoral candidate (someone who was garnering votes) to be able to see if there might be scum-scum votes or the like. I don't see how that's a strange thing to think about, so I asked you.

Wasn't at all my thought. See above for my thought process.

I don't see how that's a strange thing to think about, so I asked you. I suppose? But it would work in the opposite direction, a voter woul probably tell me more about the candidate then the candidate about the voter. Just a different line of thinking I guess. Both are fine, obviously who you lynch should be decided by who is scummy first and foremost. But information wise, the candidate flipping would possibly show motive for multiple voters, whereas a voter flipping tells only about his candidate.
I would not put that much stock in the mayoral voting when deciding who to lynch, though, because lynching for information is bad.

Ok heres why you should vote me for mayor over a vet, cause i'm not really seeing anything special out of them yet:
1. I'm probably the one with the most knowledge about the most players. I know the quantumpope/ggtemplar/storrzerg/tehpoofter players where probably nobody else really does. Then I've been active on this forum for long enough to know the vets and the trolls. This gives me the best chance of feeling something is off with everybody compared to a mayor who doesn't know half the town. For example, atm ggtemplar is deviating from his scum games a little bit, he seems more relaxed:

And [r]Storrzerg[/r] is probably mafia. On January 26 2014 07:29 GGTeMpLaR wrote: ok I look dumb now but you should still make me the mayor On January 26 2014 08:34 GGTeMpLaR wrote: Balla24 is probably town. I like the way he came into the thread fearless like a tiger pushing a clear agenda.
Compared to opening posts in really small:

Not to mention his first post lead to the great scoobydoo spam of 2014. His trolly attitude came off as relaxed and confident townie on the surface, but the intentions and consequences were ultimately anti-town in my eyes. On January 10 2014 05:02 GGTeMpLaR wrote:The consequences are the 2 pages of scoobydoo roleplaying and off-shoot trolling that resulted from the silly atmosphere which just reads null all-round to me. Whereas storrzerg seems less assertive than usual and less willing to put himself out there, which is strange. Also lurking, which town storr barely ever did.

Short and to the point high in content. Fast-paced posting makes it hard for scum to clearly think through what is going on and it makes it easier to find lurkers. And yes, lynch lurkers. idk what to think of this post... well i said what i meant i did not know what to think of it. I don't usually have people posting about how to play the game in this context, and probably why it was said was based on previous experience with the newby games. I can agree with things that are said (post content, "fast paced" lynch lurkers) I find it odd that you have to put the game in a very defined manner though. at least it feels to me you want the game to be played out like this, with no exceptions. On October 30 2013 13:54 StorrZerg wrote:Show nested quote +On October 30 2013 10:21 cakemanofdoom wrote: onlywonderboy's the one who's defending Balla. I'm simply questioning Storr right now: his pressure, if it's just pressure, came without any sort of explanation, or justification. At least, wouldn't something concrete (rather than a vague comment that can basically be ignored as personal musing) be better for forcing people to talk? i really hate people who look for "concrete" reasons to lynch someone, specially day 1.... we want to lynch mafia sure, but a "concrete" reason would imo be, a cop claiming his checks at night, then dieing that night. i think this is a pretty consistent thing regarding the median of mafia. personally i'm a bit sad so many people are going after cakeman since i wanted to pressure him more.
I can pick up on these things without actually going and searching for games since I've played with a good majority of the thread.
2. I'm active in PM land. So I can get answers and find out how people are acting in PM land, whereas some people aren't as active there. Or if they are, then they are sacrificing thread presence. Please PM me if you want to have a conversation!!!!! I'm on IRC and will respond on TL too.
3. I'll find scum, and be very open with the thread so that the players who can't be as active in PM land will know what their mayor is thinking. Right now, i'd lynch:
Alakaslam Skanjab1s StorrZerg
Alakslam opened like he wanted to play. Kush pointed out that he did this in Extractor Mafia and since then slam has gone straight back to non-sensical thread clogging. That's sketchy, but some people have expressed their disagreement about this read.
Skanjab1s is because he already contradicted himself within the first couple posts of the thread by saying he'd lynch QP but then agreeing with kush that BC's attack on QP was bad.
StorrZerg because he's not "generally active" like he said he would be, and it's already a change from his town game like I pointed out above.
4. I'm Balla, I know I got a bad repatation. Walking 'round, always mad repatation.
##VOTE for me for mayor!

also a vet might have inherent biases that a rookie does not

Uhh... when he was scum in my game he afk'ed a LOT. Don't think this is valid.

Can confirm they often talk in zoom chat if that means anything. Cannot confirm the conversation actually took place that he is referencing though. But they do use that method of communication. Doubtful there are records.
