Now ends my prelude and into the heart of my post, which might end up quite lengthy, for any that cares to read it I thank you. A couple of years ago I came to this site under direction from an acquaintance named exo. I had grown rather bores of the werewolves(mafia) style that we played where little to no communication was had and it was just super boring to me. And coming here in my first game I met some very good friends who really helped me along the way even if they mislynched me or yelled at me in pms for screwing up the game. Overall it was one of my favorite experiences on site even if I sucked got mislynched and helped town lose the game. I thank you palmar, Marv (my first hosts and cohosts) for hosting what I consider the fun nest game that I played here even in a loss. Koshi, vivax were the first people who invested in me and tried to help me become a better player over pms and to this day I appreciate that and I'm secretly glad that they sign up every now and again even when I annoy them. Another great friendship I developed was with geript, who was quite possibly my first enemy here who I made it on a list of don't play with again. We couldn't read each other to an extent and he hated playing with me. But played on we did and we have a food friendship where we both respect and like one another and can read each other quite well. And I'll miss our games together. holyflare probably taught me the most out of everyone on site. I was always in his pms telling him to give me advice and make me better. And he kept telling me little things I could do better. It was a great time and had so much fun with him. Just a Greta guy with good times. Me and rayn have always bumped heads but he's one of my favorite people. Always pig headed and never wrong in his eyes and a voice from the gods. Voice mafia to forum mafia never take him serious this guy is just good people. Ritijy my soul brother I'll never tell you what it is ^^. Rsoultin...yesh not much to say here just a great friend who I played with every chance I got while playing horribly. there's many other but these people probably influenced me the most on tl and I have fond memories of everyone. Just generally I feel like crap when I play mafia and I can't be assed to read filters make cases or play to a certain extent. I have what I consider bursts of fun where I actually get a mafia and I know that I'm probably right. It just hasn't been as fun for me because I know I'm a good player nobody can read me correctly most of the time and it has driven me mad to an extent. Some will probably say I'm not a good player, and I apologize for anyones feelings I've hurt in my anger. I just take games personally to an extent which I know I shouldn't have and being told I'm bad or should quit depresses me on a physical level and an emotional level. I appreciate all of the hosts and all of my friends playing with me when they could even the people I didn't particularly like and even the people bad mouthing me in pms to me or about me to other people. Its ok, I've seen everything and its no hard feelings. I lived my time here and I'll be on Skype for d&d fun and maybe one day I'll be back I just don't know when. Damdred, I'll admit I didn't get to interact with you too much like some of the others (timezone probably has a lot to do with it and I really don't stay up that late since I have a day job) but I have had a lot of fun playing with you and even against you, even if you keep tripping me up when you are mafia >_< I think you're pretty solid overall, I thought there was a reason you nailed Most Improved Player last year. At some point at worst people - enough people around here anyways - have respected your play, presumably as either alignment. Seriously though your mafia play has frustrated me and I think you've only gotten caught out by blue actions if I recall right. Leaving out anything in progress, I am sort of disappointed the last few games for you and maybe others have been like that, I've seen a lot of crazy things happen in a few games, and I know you're not the only one driven insane by it. As for people not reading you correctly I think a lot has to do with people's activity levels fluctuating based on RL. It has happened to me as well, and newer players are also going to struggle encountering a player whose style is different from what they might normally think. Other explanations I am sure but that appears to be the most common. Hopefully we'll see you back, that being sooner rather than later. Sometimes a break is needed especially when you know you aren't having fun. Also if you play dota (got that impression from a post you made earlier in this thread), join up on the TL Mafia steam group and you can at least party up with a few of us. I am able to play on us east pretty easily so no issues there. | ||
