I missed the part where raynpelikoneet had explained it was a joke (and I didn't notice that he had "claimed" during night either). So when Clarity (I think it was Clarity?) started accusing Oatsmaster for fakeclaiming, I basically agreed with him (since I thought raynpelikoneet and Oatsmaster had both claimed and Oatsmaster's pick for the night check made no sense as town - but was the easiest choice as scum since Ange was already dead!). Soon enough I understood what had actually happened... BUT I defended Oatsmaster because I had made the same mistake as him, and I thought he was town because he had the same line of thinking about the situation as I did. AND it made no sense whatsoever for him to start accusing Oatsmaster unless he had made the same mistake that I had made (even as scum it would just cast unnecessary suspicion on himself). AND if that was the case, his accusation towards Oatsmaster was null at worst and townish in my eyes. So... I defended him, he flipped scum, I was lynched, I flipped town, GG. I'm not sure if it would have ended up differently had I A) been more active B) explained myself better, or if it was already too late to save myself in any case... BUT what I'm trying to say is that Clarity was originally lynched for a faulty reason (even though he was scum regardless) and I was lynched (mostly) for defending him (which I would do again as town in a similar situation). Does my explanation make sense? Because that's how I saw the situation, and I think both Clarity and myself were lynched for wrong reasons. I guess this is a good example of why it's more important to be able to convince others with your reasoning instead of just coming up with it on your own (and failing to convey it to others). It was just somehow too difficult to explain all this through voice (and also through a language that I very rarely use for speaking)... I guess that's a good area to improve upon in the future. (As a sidenote, the reason why I was convinced Clarity was scum in the endgame with me-Ange-Clarity was that Ange started pushing Clarity while Clarity wanted to lynch me. If Ange was scum, she had absolutely zero reason not to hammer me. So I was completely convinced that Clarity was scum, but obviously I made the mistake of voting Clarity right away - opening myself to the attack from Clarity - and overall being pretty silent, making myself even easier of a target.) (Another sidenote... I rolled town in every game and yet I was lynched in every game, I think? Haha The only game I won was where I was lynched as a vengeful townie and shot Oatsmaster... Gimme bullets!!) | ||

It's just awkward to talk about, because the guys that lynched will think they were right and the flip validates them and the guy that got lynched will be laughed at because he's "being salty" or w/e and everyone else really doesn't give a shit. | ||

Gratz to rayn for cleverly bussing Clarity in that situation though! Me defending Clarity opened a really juicy opportunity for rayn to bus Clarity and then seal the deal with lynching me the next day. I've done the same before in (forum) Mafia as scum - bussing my teammate when a generally "suspicious" townie started defending him. It's a good tactic, I must say. | ||
