If you want to play, all you have to do is show up! If you find that games tend to happen at an awkward time for you, please post so in this thread and we'll make it work! We play on the TL teamspeak 3 server.
If you don't have teamspeak 3, it is completely free and can be downloaded here.

I recommend connecting your tl account to your ts3 login, which you can do here. This only has to be done once. Add TL as a bookmark and you're set! Look for us in the "TL Mafia" channel.
Setups that we've played around with so far, all instant majority:
5 player setups:
- 2 vt, 1 lynchproof, 1 jester, 1 goon
- 2 vt, 1 named vt, 1 jester, 1 goon
- 3 vengeful town, 1 goon, 1 godfather (no nights, if the godfather gets lynched town wins immediately)
6 player setups:
- 5 vt, 1 goon. 3 lover pairs (no nights)
- 3 vt, 1 cop, 2 goon
7 player setups:
- 3 vt, 1 cop, 1 doctor, 2 goon (starts night 0)
8 player setups:
- 7 vt, 1 goon, 4 lover pairs (has nights)
9 player setups:
- 6 vengeful town, 3 vengeful scum (no nights, lynches are noflips, shots are flips)
- Any regular mini setup
*This list is rather short right now, so if anyone would like to post some setups that they know work well in voice mafia I'd appreciate it!
Note that there are many many more setups available but these are the ones that have been played around with before.
Experiment with new setups and if you guys find something solid make sure to post it here so I can add it to the OP.
Sometimes we also mix in a game of Resistance, which requires the same skillset as mafia but plays quite different.

VT = Town, no powers.
Goon = Mafia/scum, no powers.
Named VT = You are a VT, but you have a special name! (used to give scum and 3p roles more options for fakeclaiming)
Vengeful = When you get lynched you have to make a vigi shot before dying.
Cop = Town. Every night you may check one person and you will be told their alignment. (how depends on the game. green/red, town/anti-town etc.)
Doctor = Town. Every night you may protect one person from getting nightkilled. You may or may not protect yourself depending on the setup.
Lynchproof = Town. If you get lynched you do not die and it turns night.
Jester = You win when you get lynched, and everyone else loses if you get lynched. If all scum die or you get shot you lose. If all town die you win with scum.
Lover = You are a lover with X. If either you or X dies, both of you die.

This means it could be reverse psychology, or reverse reverse psychology, or reverse reverse reverse psychology. Etc. OriginNeedless to say a WIFOM argument is frowned upon. The term is also misused by everyone including myself. LYLO = Lynch Lose. Meaning that if the town mislynches they immediately lose the game. MYLO = Like LYLO but town still has a chance due to the possibility of a scum shot being negated by protection/roleblock or due to scum dying at night. This list will surely grow.

It should be Saturday 23:00PM for you. If you are +8GMT

For me it says 17:00 CEST (+02:00) I know for a fact that we are GMT+2/GMT+1 depending on daylight savings time.
If you are GMT+8 it should be 23:00 (+08:00) for you.
I think that you might have told TL that you are a resident in: Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), while you acutally live in the west of Australia and should have given in this,Australian Western Standard Time (AWST), timezone?

Right, so mocsta did indeed say he wanted 17:00 CEST instead of 19:00 CEST, which is two hours earlier.
So yes, that should be 11 pm for mocsta, instead of the 1 am for him that I suggested.
That said, if we do it earlier I think we exclude WoS, so I'm not sure how you guys wanna handle that.

Right, the issue here is that I'm a dunce and tl time stuff doesn't take into account the date, so I simply typed saturday.
Technically I suggested 1 am sunday for you, and you asked for it to be changed to 11 pm saturday.
Hope that all makes sense.

Your suggested time kind of makes a mess of the time I have dinner and I think it makes it rather early for the NA peoples.
edit: the easiest way to doublecheck if it's "the same day" is to look at the countdown, I suppose.

LOL. clarity. I didnt mean to suggest another time. I was more having a bitch about how TL confuses me with time zones :S
This is a perfect example.
Look im good for most time slots around that hour, as long as enough notice is given so I dont have plan.
For example, if its this weekend. I would prefer my saturday night 1am, vs friday night 1am.
But, some have suggested they prefer the earlier slot. Im not fussed, what I know is that, after 2 hrs I started losing concentration. Not sure about others.
n 1am is fine for mafia, with the american deadlines. sometimes i would be up to 3 or 4am to ensure i had control of the lynch  THATS WHEN MAFIA SUCKS.

My head hurts. I'm fine with moving it 2 hours earlier but mocsta says it's not necessary, can you make it 17:00 GMT (+00:00) ange? If so there's no reason to move it and make it more awkward for WoS
