For someone who hasn't look at the first personality yet, is the pre-game banter an indicator of what's to come? Everyone claiming who they are playing as, but just not the role? Or does the warning about roleclaiming being a bad idea also cover claiming who you're playing as, especially given that some players seem to have particular roles associated with them (dreamflower, off the top of my head).

Roles are generated and handed out (presumably randomly) when the game starts. Everyone claiming who they are now is just lulz...no one knows what role they have until the game starts. At least, that's how Personality went.

It means you shouldn't claim who you are or your role. Some of them are really obvious just by the way that they have to post. But like there are roles in the first game that have to kill certain other people if they ever get revealed even though they're both town. There are roles that can shoot people who claim who they are. There's like a ton of other stuff also that makes claiming identities/powers bad. You should read the first game austin. It's really funny.

Yeah, I'll get around to it, and will /in if I can get out from under some work before it starts. LIX was a big fat warning to me that I shouldn't be joining games when work is heavy, despite there being multiple openings right now.
