The hushed whispers and concerned glances of the gathered council almost seemed to mock the slow, methodical gathering. Fifteen figures gathered in the chamber, around the stone table, under the simple logo "Ever Vigilant". Silently, fluidly, one of the figures rises from his seat, and clears his throat, a sound that echoes, and then dies as utter silence falls in the chamber. The tall lanky figure, a face indistinguishable from that of any business man one might ordinarily meet. He pauses a second, testing the silence, before speaking, his tone calm, but with an undercurrent of urgency. "Ladies and gentlemen. You know why we are here, why this council has been called. It is unheard of for the Order to convene like this. Yet it is necessary. An emergency has arisen. We have been compromised." at the news, a single gasp interrupts the man. He pauses, seemingly having lost his train of thought, and then resumes. "I have found, from a reliable source that five member of the order have been supplanted by government moles. The procedure for dealing with these individuals is simple, you see this facility is equipped with an automated intruder suppression and weapon detection system, all we have to do is point them out and... " he continues, but finds himself interrupted as a figure rises from his seat and pulls something from his suit pocket. A deafening blast, a cloud of devouring nanobots, and two corpses, one nothing but bones, the other frozen, the next sentence still on his lips as their blood mixes, red and green. Everyone stands frozen for a second, before a mechanical, automated voice speaks. "Intruder Extermination Protocol online. Please designate a target.", above each chair, a number glows, and on every member's screen, thirteen numbers. On the table the electrical timer begins ticking down. 48:00:00 47:59:59 GMarshal, Organization Chairman has been shot BioSC, Government Assassin has been devoured by nanobots.
