They couldn't be more wrong with their analysis of my role and now several of them are jumping on the latest victim in the thread - Janaan. Upon overview of his filter I find nothing heinously scummy. Janaan is a guy who's quick to accuse others and is trying to avoid getting killed on day1. I'm not convinced that this behavior indicates scum over town and I won't be voting for him to die tonight. If he was really against a Janaan lynch then he would have been defending him more aggressively. However this looks a lot like scum that knows Janaan's alignment and wants to take credit for being right about something.

On April 10 2012 11:10 EchelonTee wrote: sigh Why do you say this? Are you really surprised he flipped green? Or do you simply think it makes you look town to post sadness that we killed a townie? + Show Spoiler + On April 09 2012 15:06 EchelonTee wrote: Janaan Yeah yeah, I dismissed gonzaw earlier when he asked me, but it prompted me to re-read his filter. Gonzaw found the summation of 1-4 to be scummy enough for a vote. I personally thought that #3/4 were not scummy (I agreed in part with 3, and 4 is just Janaan talking), #1 was minorly scummy (talking about newbiness is a very small scumtell), and #2 was semi-scummy, because he is buddying to VE and not talking about much. However, since I only found some of this post scummy, and since it was his first post (opening posts often have setup fluff), this didn't raise the biggest red flag to me. However, I feel that his case on Jitsu is pretty insubstantial, and is a forced attempt to put something out when pressured. Janaan hasn't posted that much so it is hard to get a read on him, but he doesn't feel as genuine as I remember him in Suprisingly Normal Mini VII. In that game, he was a lot more active, but not only that, he was assertive towards people, posted reads and opinions on many things, and just sounded a lot more forthright and open. Though inactivity could be due to being busy, it stands that Janaan has not been very decisive when I know he can be. My vote remains on Tunkeg because I feel that he has been more artificial in his posting, and he has been around/active enough that if he had wanted to make substantial cases / respond to pressure on him, he easily could've. To S.T. and Janaan, respond to this and start/expand on your cases, because at the moment all you are doing is scummily lurking, and I won't stand for that. On April 10 2012 04:55 EchelonTee wrote: ##Unvote: Tunkeg ##Vote: Janaan I could see Tunkeg's actions from a pissed off, given up townie perspective (imagine MrZentor from Sum of All Fears), but Janaan looks pretty irreconcilable. I think this is the best play at the moment. The first post is a part where you talk about a few cases. The second post, where you vote swap, you accuse him as "irreconcilable". Then, you basically defend him in your next post. + Show Spoiler + On April 10 2012 09:41 EchelonTee wrote: lmao. it's not always about WHAT you say, it's about HOW you say it. See look: That post by Janaan is actually one of the more genuine posts in his filter. He is just saying plainly that he doesn't know at that point; the manner in which he says it is very matter-of fact. I find other things about Janaan scummy, but being happy with lynching someone ONLY b/c they say "I don't know who I want to lynch", disregarding that they DID come back later after being pressured? Your reasoning is odd ghost. FoS Rest of your posts leading up to lynch had no content. I get why ST would be upset that he lynched a townie, he is a noob. You should know that we are likely to kill a townie. Why, then, the "sigh". Because you think it makes you look pro-town? That compiled with your weak accusations-bandwagon-weak accusations...

(Aside: Does anyone have suggestions on how I can read the thread reasonably well?) I'm gonna pick up on Toad's suspicions of ghost_403: On April 10 2012 06:21 ghost_403 wrote: Tunkeg is starting to look a bit better to me. I am pleased to see that he hasn't completely given up. However, I don't believe that this is reason enough for me to think of him as a townie. Also, I find the number of people who immediately jumped ship off the lynch to be slightly disconcerting... I think pursuing a Tunkeg lynch at the moment is counterproductive, so I withdraw that vote, at least for the time being. ghost glares across the room at Tunkeg ##unvote As I said earlier, Janaan is on my list of scummy people, so I'll vote that way for the time being. ##vote: janaan The suddenness of the movement to lynch Hassybaby alarms me. Not really sure what to make of that. This post gives off a feeling of cautiousness to me. Phrases such as "I don't believe that this is reason enough", "slightly disconcerting", and the double use of "for the time being" seem somewhat unnatural in normal dialogue. I don't have too much experience, but I know the one time I rolled mafia I always reviewed my posts in fear that I posted some giveaway, whereas whenever I'm town I just post and am confident I can resolve whatever comes up later, since I have reasons to why I did anything. On April 10 2012 08:43 ghost_403 wrote: This Hassybaby lynch is absolutely ridiculous. The first stone was cast against Hassybaby literally one page ago. Suddenly, the lot of you have jumped on this bandwagon for no reason whatsoever, and at a time when he's not around, no less. Hassy never had a chance to explain himself. VE states "he looks like scum", and people start jumping on the bandwagon and insisting that he's a good lynch. This looks like a misinterpretation of the situation. Moreso, note the sudden shift in tone. From cautious and slow into full throttle confidence. Then soon backtrack into softspoken ness On April 10 2012 09:04 ghost_403 wrote: Not WBG, I was refering to Janaan. Very unclear, my apologies. That was how you misinterpreted that, right? Note that this tone is employed when talking directly to WBG and Toad, who are the among the primary advocates of the Hassybaby lynch.

The last quote is to show the drastic shifts in tone. It seems very artificial.

Sloosh, Michael, WBG, Grackaroni, VE Literally all were considered to be lurking/not really contributing for the good part of day 1, then come in a couple hours before the lynch for the Hassy Push, and conviently they all just agree its a good idea. Even though there is no way it will reach majority, and we were already struggling to gain a majority on Janaan, but at least it was happening. Yes, I haven't "posted actively" when compared to the likes of gonzaw. But this thread is messy as heck and I'm trying my best to 1) keep up with my own reading of the thread & 2) keep it clean in the way I know how. It may seem like I'm straight up ignoring you and I guess that would be half correct. But you aren't reading the thread too well either which makes me less inclined to hear what you have to say. For instance: On April 10 2012 03:51 Mementoss wrote: I didn't say that. Fourface did.@Sloosh - That connection theory is wayyyy early so WIFOM, and hard to grasp without any flips or solid information at the moment. And in your list of Hassy lynchers you totally miss out Johnnywub, who gave this one liner - On April 10 2012 08:04 johnnywup wrote: Why didn't he make your list?Ok, here's to hoping we can consolidate enough votes on Hassybaby and avoid a no-lynch ##unvote Janaan ##vote Hassybaby I don't mind being called out - I am just less likely to respond unless I can see it is a good use of the limited time I have in reading/posting. As for your case on michaelthe - I don't think it is a strong case. He is in the group I label "I can't distinguish bad play from newbie play", and honestly can't be bothered reading into as there are other people I'd rather discuss (Hassybaby and ghost_403).
