One thing you should notice when re-reading Jackal's posts is that he was in no hurry to get ON lynched, probably because he already knew how ON would flip. He casually mentions ON possibly being 3rd party, but no vote or pressure or anything.

I agree with Syllo. Since when do mafia trade themselves 1 for 1 with townies? And not just that but trade themselves 1-1 for a townie who has 0 powers in a game where everyone is a power role.

If we assume that jackal is scum, then he likely lied and created the line about voldemort hiding as town right? So with that line and knowing that ON is town surely he must have known after ON died, that he was likely going to be fucked. It seems like a massive risk and an incredibly stupid thing for mafia to do.

Jackal in my experience generally seems to be pretty inactive and fly under the radar the first couple days of most games. It seems very unlike him to fake a pm and post it day 1 just to try and get 1 townie with no powers lynched.

So unless Jackal made a massive blunder this game, which is unlike his normal playing style. I am inclined to believe he is not mafia.

Exactly, and that's more a town motivation than mafia. He could have easily removed the line about his role "confirming" (it does no such a thing) Voldemort's alignment, as he assumed the role was created by the host.

I find it hard to believe that roles that were almost certainly created or modified by the host, then themed as arch-rivals are going to be on the same side, just read last ptp with batman and the joker.

I agree with this.

But man it would have to be such an incredibly bad play from Jackal to fake his pm and claim just to try and kill ON if he knew he was town. I think it is more likely that decon is just fucking with us than it is for Jackal to make that play as mafia.

Are you really using lylo as an argument to kill someone on day 1 of the game lol? If jackal survives to that point we will have a huge amount of additional information to judge him with.

This has nothing with fear to do.

He is currently the best lynch we have, you even agree with me that it's unlikely Voldemort and Harry Potter would be of the same alignment. I'd prefer it if he got shot, because then we can turn to actually hunting scum.

My entire point is that we can be pretty sure that he needs to die at some point, until we have a better lynch for day one, this point could very well be right now. There's only 4 votes on him, no need to spend so much time defending him. Go find a better alternative instead.

If you're actually correct, he just shot a townie, and made it very, very likely that another townie would get lynched.
