1) I'd shoot prplhz. I've got a feeling he's scum, but I don't think I could get him lynched today. 2) Probably you. We seem to think pretty similarly when it comes to scumhunting. 3) Dark blue normally, but in SC2 I always pick purple. 4) tnkted has been under the radar far too much for my liking. He's got a couple of posts that verge on relevant, but he hasn't done anything original, or taken a particularly strong stance on anything so far.

I don't feel that his contributions have been as good as they could be, and his response to my earlier accusation of him was rather weak. Overall I'm just getting a bad feel from him. This isn't enough to lynch him, but I'll be watching.
As for what is going on right now - Sandroba and Jackal and everyone else in on this argument needs to stop. Neither of you are actually analyzing, you're just going back and forth with "you suck", "No you suck", "shut up scum", "you shut up". It's not providing anything helpful.
kitaman27 and Node, what do you think of GMarshal?
I feel he's been asking the right kind of questions, and though he hasn't been taking especially firm stances on particular people, on day 1 with the amount of madness happening in this particular thread it can be a difficult thing to do. I'm not getting a scum vibe currently, but I do hope to see more active scumhunting from him.
I can understand him playing a bit more cautiously after being the mole in PYP Insane. I think he's been overall helpful, if a little more careful than I'm used to.

If you think that Tackster was really scum would he have ended his post with "KISSES xx". And you say that his post is easily not noticable, I just really think that it is. It is a very long post from a dude you haven't seen around a lot. I think if he were scum he would really have made that post a bit shorter, it might be the longest post I remember reading in this post so far. That said, yes it is full of fluff but I don't think we should judge people by their not being useful right now. This game is beyond complex and I don't think anybody has proved to be conclusively useful yet. I also think that in the likely case that Tackster flips green then we will have gained nothing except a wasted lynch.
So who do you think have conclusively contributed to this thread since you think that lack of contribution is a criteria for lyching? And why do you think that Tackster is the one who contributed the least? I mean at least he never spammed the thread like Kurumi or sandroba.
Since this is your second time bringing up the "KISSES" thing, I have to assume you're serious. That is literally the most WIFOM-y argument you could make, and it gives absolutely no indication as to whether or not he's scum. If it were that easy to prove that you're not scum, then everybody would do it -- but then scum would do it too, etc etc. It tells us nothing.
I think that his post failed to take a conclusive stance on any of the subjects mentioned. Reading back through it, I couldn't tell you where Tackster stands on the most. Post length has very little to do with it -- in fact, if anything, the length of that post makes him more scummy in my eyes, as a very clear and concise short post is infinitely more useful than a long, muddled one.
I think BloodyCobbler has been useful. I think chaos13 and Mr. Wiggles have proven their worth. Palmar is also someone I'd like to have around as the game progresses.
Contribution is a criteria for lynching, it is not the criteria for lynching.

At the moment I'm unable to decide whether he's scummy or a bad townie, but I'm leaning towards the latter. So, I'm going to say this: RedFF, for the sake of the thread and the sanity of everyone in it, do more with less posting-wise. This is your only halfway decent post so far this game. I don't necessarily agree with the conclusions you're drawing there, but it at least shows a little effort towards things that actually matter. I'm going to put my vote on hiro protagonist for now. He's been largely concerned with Amber's posting and role, and has quite a few posts in the thread, but has done nothing helpful for... anybody, really. Even his questioning of Amber was just treading over familiar ground that others had already done. He's threatened to try to lynch anybody that talks to Amber without asking him a question directly (I think? hiro can be hard to understand), but hasn't followed up on that statement. He's just dead weight at this point and until I see him do something solid I'm going to be suspicious. As of right now the list I have given should be the centered Zodiac list. You have all had your chance to talk about it and as no one has really done so there is the list. Everyone on it will have to be held carefully accountable for their actions. Most of us have a fair number of games behind us to give a decent interpretation of our play as town or mafia. Of this list, a few of us have appeared more town like than others.
Now before everyone goes "sweet dt's dont check here" think again, as you are horribly off.
Watcher or tracker style roles. This is the list you focus on. If we go out, if we get visited you want to know. It gives you the ability to connect dots of who is red and who isnt, who lies and who doesnt as time goes by,
Standard role or alignment style detectives your job is to sweep everyone who isnt on this list. Start with whoever is obviously playing suspectly.
Now, Medics, I will be posting a list closer to day end on what you guys should be doing. As of now there is not enough of a list for us to accurately center you on, nor do I really wish to give mafia a larger amount of time to discuss exactly how to deal with the list. I'm willing to continue rolling with this. On June 01 2011 01:25 Node wrote:I agree with the doggy. Chaos13 has been doing a really good job of contributing this far, and I think he's been extremely pro-town. sandroba, on the other hand, has done nothing since the beginning of the game, where he weakly pushed a plan that involved everybody claiming whose role they had made. He also endorses LAL policy lynches, which, in this setup.... ehhhhh. I won't critique his plans too harshly, but what sets my alarm bells a-ringin' is that he proposed these plans (easy for mafia to do to appear like they're contributing, not to mention the plans were likely doomed to fail anyways) and then promptly failed to do anything else. Scum love to pile on aggressive pressure without content backing it up in little posts like these. ##Vote sandrobaAlso, it sounds silly, but I'm pretty sure Amber is town at this point. He's said a lot with very little and is clearly trying to help us out. On June 01 2011 10:02 Node wrote: Christ this three-way sandroba / redFF / Jackal catfight is terrible.
I'm going to say this plain and simple:
You guys are contributing nothing. You're inflating the thread with several pages of bitching that is only making it harder to get real scumhunting done. If I had to choose, I would say that none of you or two of you are mafia, and to be honest I don't think any of you are smart enough mafia to get in an endless fight in order to clog up the thread -- the only people that I've seen pull off that style successfully were Ace and Pandain in Insane Mafia 1. The real mafia are likely sitting back, sniping a bit here and there, and laughing at you.
So please, think about what you say before you say it, and try to fit your arguments into concise posts instead of getting into these idiotic, de-railing spats. I'm fine with you being suspicious and arguing, but the way you're doing it won't get us anywhere. Make your case, and then let it be.
I'm going to put my vote on Tackster for now. I agree that his big post is pointless. Plus, it's timing is impeccable, as its position in the thread is such that it can be easily skimmed and ignored without much scrutiny. I'm not sure about sandroba being scum, and I like that he's been posting more. Honestly, at this point I wish he'd shut up a little. First he calls me out. fine. I respond. Then nothing. Then he jumps on with voting for sandroba. sandroba yells uncle. node moves on. next up, Tackster. and thats where he sits. recently he called Prplhz scummy. ALL of these have been easy targets, given the state of the thread. All but sandroba (who he has started defending) have something in common: new or otherwise bad posters. node claims he his FoSing them to get them to shape up. This could be true. It could also be a way of slipping a bad townie up, in hopes that there reaction will be noticed by others as scummy, in hopes of an easy lynch. This is not to say I am voting for node. I just wanted everyone know how I feel about him. I dont have much of a scum read on anyone else (with the exception of Meapak_Ziphh, which I will go into later) I am curious as to who BC has in mind for a lynch.
These are silly reasons to think that I'm scum, and if you think about it for a few minutes you'll realize that they're silly. (ask yourself: what part of my play thus far has actually benefited the mafia?)

BC was not scummy, vis RAGED AND SHOT BC COS HE'S MEAN
Let's stop talking about Vis' decision. It's been made and there's nothing we can do about it.
Instead, let's talk about what we do next.
Why did Tackster not die? He roleclaimed and that was enough to get some people to shift their votes off of him, but I thought we had already established pretty well that role != alignment. I don't see his "death post" as being anything especially redeeming, especially since it was just enough to get someone else lynched. I'm particularly suspicious of Varpulis now, since his vote switch to Viscera had almost no justification.
Also, I really really dislike that tnkted's defense amounts to, "you can't lynch me, nyah nyah". But can he survive night hits? I'm going to advocate a vigi hit on him until he proves his worth.

Guys, chaos13 definitely isn't scum. He's been contributing all game long -- read his frickin' posts.
I thought Palmar was a good guy, but ever since his initial Varpulis analysis he has not done anything else noteworthy. Please stop tunneling and start thinking.

I agree that bum should hit sinani. Sinani will never get to use his power unless we take care of it now, and I feel that he's not a very good townie. So let's get this over with.

I hope you liked your role GM, I had fun creating it. I'm disappointed that you claimed relatively early, I thought it would be really interesting from a sneaky townie perspective, but I can see why you would with the "day post info" clause, which wasn't my doing. The role did change a bit from what I submitted, but the original incarnation would be a bit broken in the hands of the mole.
Cult Master
Every night, you have the ability to induct a person of choice into your cult. You begin Day 1 with one other random person in your cult.
People in your cult have the ability to PM each other, and are informed of all other members in the cult.
Once your cult has grown to three or more members, you have the ability to sacrifice members of your cult at night (as many as you want in one night), bringing it down to a minimum of two members. You may not induct a person and perform a sacrifice on the same night. Members of the cult are not informed of this ability.
Deconduo, I think the game would be improved if you reduced the size to ~25 people. In a crazy setup like this, the thread is inevitably going to be a mess for the first couple of days, but I think that it would be alleviated somewhat if there were simply less people. But as it is, you couldn't pay me to read through days one and two again. I also think it would be good if you incentivized the creation of more scummy roles, but I'm not sure how you could go about that -- maybe inform a few people of their alignment ahead of time, or create a role that allows for manipulation of the rolepick procedure.
