Also, in addition to what's already been posted regarding OriginalName:
Clue Are those black shapes in the alcove bats? Is that shadow in the corner a black cat?
Profile What do Tigers Dream of when they take their little tiger snooze? Do they dream of mauling Zebras or Halle Berry in a Catwomen suit? The black cat ~ Catwoman / Halle Berry connection was already drawn, but in addition there's the bats. Bats. Batman.

I'll switch over to Kav in a second. Let's not just all agree on killing ON right now though. More discussion/analysis = better chance of killing someone. Also, ON isn't really doing a good job of defending himself if he actually is scum. Typically scum are more active in their defense, and will usually try to deflect suspicion onto someone else, or highlight someone else's scummy behavior. Basically, draw suspicion away from them, not act like the suspicion is no big deal. That speaks apathetic townie to me, not scum. I agree that we shouldn't be 100% locked into lynching ON but as Ilovejonn (can I abbreviate to ILJ?) pointed out, ON has done a couple of weakish and scummish defenses of himself. Right now I'm inclined to say he's a SK rather than mafia but either would be a good kill. However I will (and I hope Kav does as well) continue to look around to make sure we have the best fit for the clue.
Honestly, if we become convinced he's SK, we should just make him a bodyguard, and lynch him at our leisure.

I'm not sure why we would be convinced he is SK, but to put someone who is likely an outed scum into a bodyguard position doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

Except the SK doesn't protect the mayor. Also, I believe any special roles get to keep their powers if they are recruited. This would basically give the SK free reign to kill whoever he wanted for a few nights and screw up town, especially if he knew we knew who he was and were going to lynch him.
Bodyguards, if recruited from Blues, SK, or Special Reds, still get to keep their powers, correct?

Has anyone considered the fact that the hosts are being really ambiguous about the day 1 clue(s)? On all other days it says that there will be clues leading to the killer of the person, but what if the first day was different...Why are they being non-committal towards the first day?

Maybe they will give more information on the next day. From what it sounds like though, and the black text everywhere, my thoughts are he is a SK.

Like I said before, I believe black refers to the fact that alignment will not be revealed.

my thoughts are the first day clues are just an example of how the clue would be like for new players(like me:D) and are pointing towards people outside the game(like Qatol, LSB, Node...etc) In other words, not really relevent to ON?

Can we get some clarification on what we know about the day 1 clues? I'm getting mixed messages. LSB said that he can't comment on who the clues point to on day 1, but Node says that they are pointing at SK and Mafia? Otherwise, almost all descriptions purposefully leave out anything about day 1. I'm guessing this is intentional, but can you tell me if the last quote above is still valid?

All right. After a bit of reexaming of how the clues are going, I'll say these things. Please ignore all other posts.
Definitive Clues Post Clues point to people with KP. This means Mafia, SK, and Vig. Due to fairness. We cannot say much about day 1, besides the fact that there are clues. Plural. For future days, for every kill that will occur there will be a clue pointing to the killer.

Day1 clues are always very general and abstract. I'd be very surprised if everything you are pinning on ON is actually all real clues, but the more you can link, the more likely there is an actually intended clue. I would like to look more into it, but I just got home, and have to take my 6 hours of sleep and get up for work in the morning. I will be able to go into more detail tomorrow at 5pm est (quote me on that I promise :X), but for now, I like Kav's dedication, but I wouldn't mind more of what RoL is saying and I'd love to here from Dr.H, my best friend ever :D LETS MASON UP LOLZ
Gonna put my vote on kav, and if he can spot a few more clues on different folks and finalize his statement on picking BG's, my vote is staying there.

kk, one more thing.
Will mafia be in control of who is sent out to kill, or will it be RNG'd?
|
First off, who the hell said I conceded? That vote was a day old.

A word on policy: Should the Mason contact the mayor night one? This would ensure that masons survive the night, though it's unlikely that the mason, and his convertee are both killed. Other than that, the mayor would then be able to entrust any other information with the original mason. (For instance, my role, any information on blues I have, and vise versa.)
Note that while the Mason would be a confirmed townie, the mayor would not be confirmed. Thus the flow of information should only go to the mason, who should not pass it to anyone else unless extreme conditions warrant it. Perhaps with time, the mayor will build enough trust that he can be entrusted with information that the mason has, but I'm not going to assume that.
This seems the best plan to me, but I'm looking at it from the mayor's position. Anyone have any problems with this?
