If you're town you're going to act town. If you're scrum, you're going to act town. Saying someone is scum for acting town is downright dumb or if you're town, your so sure about your innocent that you can act as a scum (and get killed) But we'll know that you are innocent. | ||

And FUCK YEAH. I got a correct lynch in the first day of my first game. Too bad all this shit-talking took away my glory. So, I'm gonna lay down and be quiet(er) until day 2 arrives. No point in all this speculation without new clues, and the whole BM spamming threw this thread way off track. Only question is: should we lynch Veldril as well? I'm really 50-50 on that decision. My initial feeling was that Masq is M/V and Veldril is a bit of a newbie who was over-zealous with his opinion, and got the public's attention. Now do I go with that and try to broaden my horizons, or do I just say "fuck it" and vote for Veldril? Decisions decisions. | ||

So, by lynching Masq, we learned one of two things: 1. Veldril is his teammate and was trying to protect him. We lynch Veldril. 2. Veldril is just an idiot and got the attention of the town with his sketchy posting. We could still lynch Veldril and I don't think there would be too much harm, assuming he's not a blue. The way I see it, we have room for one bad lynch right now, because a first day scum kill almost never happens. We have a little leeway. That being said, I don't think we should waste a lynch. Veldril should be watched and not forgotten, but the downside is, if we kill Veldril, we won't really have much more to go on (ceteris paribus). We have some clues that Veldril is scum, so that should be kept in our minds. However, depending on what we learn from Night 1, the discussion on Day 2 could reveal a much higher priority target. | ||

I feel it would be beneficial for town to lynch Veldril as it would mean town gets rid of one more v/m (very likely). Anyway by the time Day 3 reaches, we would have much more information and reactions to work on. I got a feeling that Night 1 will reveal a lot  , giving cause for more suspects. | ||

For the sake of theorizing lets say that... A) He is scum. If he is, all scum will know that he is at least not the same scum as them (ie: mafia know he's not mafia, etc.) I) The win condition for scum is to eliminate all of the opposite scum. It has nothing to do with townies. Therefore, a) It is possible the scum will try to kill Vendril tonight. Now, there are a few cases where the scum will NOT try to kill Vendril tonight... 1) The scum do not want to risk exposing or harming themselves in such an obvious kill and are willing to wait until later. 2) The scum are under the impression that the town will lynch Vendril Day 2. B) He is NOT scum. If he is not scum, all scum will know that Vendril is a townie. I) Quite frankly, if Vendril is townie, there aren't a ton of reasons to kill him off, as he hasn't been all that threatening thus far, just sort of posting a bit foolishly. II) There are some people who seem to want to off Vendril regardless. a) If he is not scum, all of the fingers that have been pointing at him can be pretty easily turned around. 1) This is another reason the scum may want to off Vendril tonight. Now both (A) and (B) assume that we know 100% what Vendril's allegiance is (scum/town). As convinced as some people are, I don't think anyone can say for sure that Vendril is one way or the other, but that is the game. The logical solution is to wait out the night and see who dies. If Vendril dies overnight, then none of this post really matters anyways, although we will know which side of scum he was and we'll have a clue pointing at the opposite. If he doesn't die tonight, then we weigh our options given the provided clues and anything else we learn overnight. None of this is meant to incriminate Vendril or vindicate him. Notice I haven't quoted anyone or linked any evidence. This is merely a flow of thoughts meant to help demonstrate the reasoning behind Vendril's death/survivial. It should be taken cautiously, and in the end, if you are convinced one way or the other, this post won't really help you anyways. This was just meant as a means of viewing the different meanings behind different happenings. | ||

But as a general idea, I understand what you mean. That's why I think we need to wait till day 2 to see who gets killed, we can just go from there with clues, whoever is left, etc. | ||
