I'll suggest that if you want to take a shit on my plan, develop one that doesn't let mafia completely control how we proceed. I'd rather not give them a huge chunk of exploitable material to work with, but lakris would disagree. On the plus side, he's succinct. Sleep time. | ||

ElyAs decided it was nice enough to walk to work that day. He grabbed his hat, slung his suit jacket over his shoulder, and greeted the morning with a smile. Take care… He put in his earphones, threw his iPod on shuffle, and started walking toward work. God is watching you… For the first few minutes, he didn’t notice anything. Well, to be precise, he didn’t really pay attention to anything. He was a daydreamer. He didn’t usually find time to pay attention to the rest of the world. In the dark streets of the night, Please hold his hand. Besides, America was odd to him – he was from Europe – but alas, America was where the industry was. And he needed the experience if he was going to be able to feed his family, back in France. Even if I’m on my own far away, He will always find me. But as he drew near his workplace, he noticed the eyes around him. It seemed like everyone was looking at him. Was there something on his face? He hadn’t checked carefully in the mirror that morning. One of them spoke up, “I can’t believe you, ElyAs. How could you do this to us?” “What did I do?” And even if I forget, He tells me time and time again. But the town showed no mercy. They had made their decision. There was no going back. They grabbed ElyAs by the arms, by the legs, by the head, by his shirt – whatever they could reach, they grabbed, and nearly killed him in the process. As he screamed for his life, begging them to let him down, screaming at the top of his lungs, “I’M INNOCENT, I’M INNOCENT I TELL YOU!” The town fell deaf to his pleas for mercy. Moments later, it was done. No use in complaining about something you can't change. But what will I do once I’ve learned everything? The town looked to the sky, for some sign of God’s favor, or perhaps his anger. But alas, there was nothing but the clouds that had been there before, and a slightly colder chill than ElyAs had felt earlier. ElyAs is now dead It is now Night 1. Get your actions in to me before 10PM EDT tomorrow (11 KST I believe), etc. etc. Disclaimer: It’s just a story. Took the names from the voters. ElyAs could have been mafia for all I care. I think everyone I write about will either be written about as a townsperson, or written about along the lines of what I think the thread thinks. ElyAs, feel free to make an “official” Death Post if you want. Pre-death Death Posts are completely legal, though they don’t actually count for Death Posts =]. | ||

This means that by day 3, there are going to be 16 players alive, 4 of them mafia, 12 town. The day 4, we hit 5/8-9. At this point, unless we have hatters, vig and double lynches available and used properly, we lose unless we kill the godfather. This is assuming that the town kp isn't improperly placed, and that we don't double lynch inaccurately. This means we need to figure out who the GF is by day 4 or we're boned, put simply, or hit goons one after another. Given this, if we have shitty leads on day 3, we might want to consider claims given the information we have, but not before then. Why not before then? Well, its pretty simple: We can't let our DT(s) get recruited or killed early because they're the only non destructive way we have of identifying the GF. Given the shitshow of a last game, I'd like to be able to have our day 1 lynch proceed smoothly. Because of that, I want to know what people think about the following idea; We have one of the two masons claim. Given that we have verrrrry likely have medic(s), they can prot him and keep him alive during the game. If the player is lying, one (not both!) of the real masons can call him out. Given the fact that there are only 2 total mafia members today, it would cost the mafia essentially half their team to contest the mason claim. This is also a reason why claiming immediately would be more helpful than claiming at a later date. The downsides of this? Godfather now has a person he knows not to recruit, and the mason might die once mafia kp gets over 1. If we do that, we have a confirmed townie who can essentially drive our vote; if he's wrong, cool beans, it happens. If he's right; awesome. Either way, it'll prevent exploitable intra-town conflicts. Assume the more games they've played and how active a player is ups how experienced they are and merge it with the gut feelings you get from this thread.
