Hmm so guys, I'm out for tonight and potentially won't make deadline. If you would be so kind as to send BC your night actions...

Mtf did post some clues to myself, and i beleive he re-iterated some about crate he had made after day2.

id like to also move those 3 unsures to most likely town, as gilaboy and decond seem deliberatley low post count, in fact id protect these two. deuce is an asshole townie im very certain. They would also be good candidates for rolechecks and medics, as they seem like mafia targets to me from the way mafia has been going.

Inactive != town

Seriously, everyone who keeps saying that people who are inactive are most likely town should be strung up. If everyone is inactive the mafia win the vast majority of games. If people follow the mindset that inactive = town, townies will always just string up other townies.

He voted for himself, he no longer wants to be in the game. If I were him I would at least have the decency to request being removed from the game. Mafia would try to "exist" as long as they could for their teammates if they had to be inactive. But hell maybe he doesnt give a flying shit about his mafia friends either. If you vote for him I'll follow without a second thought.

Requesting to remove yourself is the same deal as a strategic modkill, so not allowed.

If you don't want to play, you just ... stop playing. Then you're done after 2 days.

The problem with mafia game is inactivity. I don't think a mafia game with more than 2 modkill is a great game since you are just hoping that the inactive is not on your side. I believe we have 3 town and 1 mafia being modkill so that doesn't change the balance that much. But it still sucks that mod kills are doing half of the work. If you don't want to play mafia game, then don't sign up. If you want to quit, just man up of finish the current game.

Well, duh? It'd also be nice if at least 75% (hell, 100% if we're at it) of the players played better than they are too.

If you're not gonna play though, it's best for the town if you just stop and take your modkill (and best for the mafia if you just meet the minimum requirements to not get modkilled)

Depends on the situation. If you're the last person standing between victory and death for the town, you'd better damn well keep playing (and at that point in the game, the lynch-inactives policy is generally tossed aside in favor of the lynch-scum policy), but at the beginning of the game, it's probably better to take the modkill rather than continue to be dead weight (and possibly soak up a lynch in the process).

The later the game goes, though, the worse modkills are for town (unless they're scum modkills of course). We aren't doing horribly right now, but we aren't doing great either, so I would advocate townies who don't want to play at least contributing the bare minimum. If nothing else, they're padding the number of town so that mafia has to spend that extra 2 or 3 KP to kill us (which gives us an extra day, which can mean a LOT).

Essentially, at this point, what I'm saying is that lynching inactives is no longer in our best interest, and we really have to start basing our lynch behavior off of one of the following things:

-Behavior in thread (if someone gets caught contradicting themselves, they are most likely scum, because townies have no reason to lie).
-Rolecheck results (although remember, millers do exist, so rolecheck only has a 66% chance of netting us a mafia).
-Clues (but be very very careful, because it's easy to overanalyze and find clues where there are none).
-Analysis of past posting habits (probably the safest way to catch mafia).

I believe this is the safest way for us to go forward from here.

I'm really curious about where this 66% comes from in a semi-open game.

My assumption that there are 2 millers in the game, as I said in an earlier post:

-insert long-ass player list here-

4 out of 19 isn't too bad, but we have to remember that there are still millers in the game - I would venture a guess that there are two, so there's a 1 in 3 chance that anyone who flips red to a rolecheck is a miller, just something to keep in mind.

Also, only 2 Mafia KP, awesome

I think it's a pretty safe assumption, given the number of people in the game, and the way past games of this size have been run, so unless proven wrong I'm going to continue to assume it. Of course, I could be completely and totally wrong.

There's also still 1 Godfather (so 3 mafia who show up red to rolechecks). Or maybe 2 mafia or 1 mafia who show up as red.

And I could see anywhere from 0 to 3 millers.

Day 4
The night was long for the pardoner yellowink and his companion laxercannon.
Together the men had the pictures of all the previous crimes laid out, and were scrutinizing them intensely. After hours of fruitless work, the two decided to adjourn for the night and pick up where they left off after.
They departed the town hall, and turned and walked separate ways.
Yellowink began to walk past the gallows when he heard a sound from behind him. Turning, he saw LaXercannon get attacked from behind. As yellowink began to move forward to help, he felt a sudden explosion of pain in his legs. Collapsing, he watched as a man stood over him, then dragged him up to the gallows. As the rope was placed around his neck, he watched as laxercannon bled out over the ground. The town then found Yellowink hanging from the gallows comes morning.

[No clues area]
Yellowink the pardoner and Laxercannon the bodyguard are dead.

Can't they stack two hits on the same person? One for the guard and one goes to yellowink.

it wouldn't transfer through a bodyguard... would it? how would flamewheel decide whether or not the hit went to me or yellow anyway?
