Considering how unlikely it would be that everyone had duplicate numbers (or at least people would think) then it's rather silly to pick [1][5] if I was mafia. I picked the number randomly.

Also (not to play the newb card) I am new at this (this is 3rd game) so yeah, I do miss things. If you read my first game (where I'm townie) I also make a bunch of errors (meeple does an analysis of me at some point). I just figure it's better to try and contribute than to sit around like nbt and nai.protoss and scara and play the newb card fully. At least I can bring some things to attention and you guys can fix up the plan.

I agree with johnny on this one. Most of the power roles (Compulsive Vig, Inventor, etc.) should be put under the control of the town, since this gives us 2 important things.

1)- It allows the wisdom of the many, and hopefully the wisdom of the not-mafia, to influence these roles, and lessens the chances that they will inadvertently aid the mafia.

2)- it allows us to know immediately if one of these roles is being played by a mafia player, in the case that they do not follow the town's instructions.

Wow... the lack of people voting is kinda saddening. At this point, I'm gonna vote for johnnyspazz. He's playing 100% differently than he did in his last game, when he was town. I know he already somehwat addressed this, but we have no better options, and I'd rather see a lynch than no lynch.

Ok, I have a scenario we could use to determine the weak doctor's alignment, and hopefully kill a mafia at the same time.

We could choose one of our lynch suspects, and have the compvig hit them. At the same time, we could have the weak doctor protect that same player.

Outlining the possibilities of this setup:

DOCTOR AS MAFIA:
Hit player is town: doctor either does nothing, causing the lynch target to die, we know doctor is mafia, OR doctor dies, flips mafia.
Hit player is mafia: doctor does nothing, 1 red dies, OR doctor protects, no one dies, we know the lynch target is mafia.
Compvig is Mafia: mafia choose another player, no one dies, we confirm that doctor is mafia.

DOCTOR AS TOWN:
Hit player is town: no one dies.
Hit player is mafia: doctor dies, flips town, we know lynch target is mafia.

shit you're right. I guess in either of those cases we know that the doctor and the compvig share the same alignment, for whatever good that does us later in the game. I should have noticed that though, good catch.

Although, in that scenario, if we were to lynch the target from the setup the next time available, we would find out the outcome. I also think that it is more likely that the doctor is mafia, as someone took the role from Qatol after the town had agreed they wouldnt.

I havent been just sitting around. I have not had the time whatsoever to be more active on the thread than I have been.
