I really don't like how we just handled this zorkmid situation. Who directly messaged a mod off the bat without hearing what he said? Admittedly, I didn't get to read the post nor see how bad it was. But to yell at him and get him 2 week banned without hearing his side isn't exactly fair on our half.

It was a combined decision on the part of me and iGrok since we're hosting sleeper cell mafia. It wasn't just him posting in the thread, potentially ruining the game, it was also his attitude towards the players and hosts in general (rage quitting and not even asking for a replacement, just saying, "I'm done, I'm out", saying to many people that he'd rather not play on TLMafia and that mafiascum was more suited for him, immediately signing up for Node's game, when told that wasn't chill he goes to MS, not finding a game open on MS, he then coming back to sign up for Node's game again.)It was a newbie host mistake to ask hot_bid for the ban but I really didn't see him ever being a contributing and good member of TLMafia.

Alright, Its clear and obvious that we need an intirm mod while Qatol is on leave, this isn't working.

I propose we elect someone, I nominate chaoser if he thinks he has the time to handle it.

We need to make this decision quickly so we avoid situations like the zorkmid one and handle them as is appropriate.

I say whoever is chosen by simple majority, by say monday, this is an indefinite position, to be relinquished when, if ever Qatol returns.

Actually, lets give this more official credence

We are now debating who to have filling Qatol's usual duties until such a time as Qatol returns, we want to have this decision made final by Monday at 22:00 EST if possible, if it is necessary this time will be extended

I think we need to nominate a couple people, not just one, or at least a back-up person as well, to avoid conflicts of interest. A lot of the current people in TL Mafia are also active players, so you need a second person to mod any games that the first one is in. This also means those two people can't play in the same game unless they find a 3rd person to arbitrate etc.

People can't mod the games they play in, can they?

Agreed thats a large issue I completely neglected to think about, so a two person team to run the ban list while we wait for the return of the snake god?

I'm actually going to take a break from playing mafia. It has nothing to do with any current games or anyone, I just need a break.

I'll sub in if you guys think Im able-bodied. Still in survivor though, but that shouldn't matter. I think I can be reasonable, and I can take a little heat.

me and chaoser had talked about this in IRC the other night actually. We had discussed suggesting a change in the ban system that could be basically self automated. But we had decided that we would wait till everyone had cooled off before bringing it up.
