I think it's pretty silly, especially considering the past Olympics in which olympic committee never took action before, especially in reference to 1936's olympics in germany....

I think them being wrong in the past doesn't make it right now.

Personal viewpoints should have nothing to do with the olympics.~ I'd argue that the tweet itself wasn't even that offensive. It was a joke, dunno why people get so butthurt so easily now a days.

Bottom line is that it's the commites decision to decide who is in or out. They are the organizers and they thought that the tweet damaged their image so they would rather have her go than receive the backlash themselves. Also the tweet was pretty offensive, who cares if it was a joke or not.

Some like Cycling, or Judo are quite normal but rowing or sailing is abysmal. Concerning the disqualification of the Greek athletes, it's probably a political decision. Greece has trouble dealing with Golden Dawn and they could have been punished by the IOC had they not taken actions swiftly.

EDIT : Apparently these only start tomorrow. Move along! I thought it was started because RDS had some Canada vs Japan soccer scores, I guess just soccer started early.

Also does anyone where to watch this for free? Most free basic cable channels will likely have it.

Also... is it going to be impossible to watch these games without a paid cable subscription in the list on ABC? This is bad. I ain't got cable, that's why I got the internet. Now, I'm supposed to have both? Ugh.
