That was such an amazing semis he played, and he comes to the finals just to play like that. Come on man :/ Federer's been my childhood idol and this is probably the final and only shot he has at winning the golden slam... Of course if Murray plays it will be very redemptive for him and for Great Britain, coming short here against Federer only a few weeks ago. But T_T

I still think it's unfair, you have too many people. ![]() For the record, I've rarely ever seen any sporting animosity between Aussies and Scots. Possibly because cricket is an entirely alien concept to us here. Pretty good olympics for Scotland so far, 4 golds, two silvers and a bronze. Murrays about to pick up a couple more medals as well. Not bad for 5 million people.

Ok, three. Yeovil is in England last I checked. Please quote where I said they were English teams. All benefit from having English team-mates too. Edit: I will point out that Jamieson impressed me hugely, Scottish star right there. Heather Stanning considers herself Scottish and was raised in Scotland, despite being born in England. She competed for Scotland in the commonwealth games. The Scottish athletes benefited from having the best of English, Northern Irish and Welsh athletes by there side, but the same is also true in many of these team events for English athletes. I am simply stating these have been a good olympics for Scottish athletes, performing quite above there population and representation.

I see this gold that Murray is about to win Scotlands first true gold. I am interested on your opinion of the canoe golds, do you think they were fair? I didn't watch the canoeing events I'm afraid. Purvis? Purvis is a bit of the stretch I'll be honest. He competes for Scotland in the commonwealth games. His mothers Scottish. But there's no denying he's a scouser.
