It was perfectly fine to do what he did, it is legal.

We are on course, our expectations are to better our Beijing tally of 47 medals and 19 golds. So if we get 48 medals and 19 golds we have met expectations. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/18787235 Well that is very ambitious and a few "experts" does not represent everyone. We need Wales, Scotland and NI to step up and win some golds.

God, our cyclists have broken 5 world records so far

US could tie with China again after the swimming today, this is getting really exciting . And maybe a gold there for GB too if Adlington comes through for us.

If all that flaming had not happened to the asian badminton teams, I wouldn't have said anything but Sebastian Coe called their behaviour unaceptable and did not have the same statement/punishment for his countrymen. Adding the fact the olympics are held in London I find all this very not ok.
(I have nothing against englishmen in general, i'm only discussing this issue, and i'm also impressed by the cycling results)

There was no rule broken. In the badminton they were fixing results... how are the two even comparable?

They are comparable in the sense that the badminton players did not actually break a rule either, they were disqualified for not trying to win and get an advantage in the next round - which is against the spirit of the Olympics. The cyclist here also did not break a rule but admitted to getting an advantage by questionable means. They both strictly did not break a rule but it was not very sportsman like.

The cyclist lost his balance and fell, from there it's the judges decision whether they get to rerun is it not? As far as I can see GB did nothing wrong only the judges can be held accountable for any mistake?

Finally our country decided to stop sucking and pwn everyone at cycling :D. Vic Pendleton...fuck yeah :D

GOGOGO korea fencing got much stroner and wow ESPN, you gotta be kidding me. Sportscenter was ranking countries by medal count, not gold medals, so that US is first, China 2nd, and Japan 3rd. In reality, Japan is nowhere close to the top countries. Gold is what really counts, not bronze or silver. I'm not saying winning silver or bronze is not amazing but how snobby it is for ESPN to rank by medal count when the Olympic website counts by gold medals.

They probably did it to just show america was first .
