Jess Ennis smashes it. Her 12.58 is the fastest 100m hurdles time ever. Scratch that, the time was wrong, she did it in 12.54seconds. lmao. GB FIGHTING :D
Personally as a high school kid i could only manage the normall 100m is under 11seconds and she did it with Hurdles 1.5seconds slower ;;

Very curious that nobody in this pro team seems to know the rules, isn't it. Think it's more of a loop hole though. Like Cavendish was saying, you ride on the track and still be egilable to ride on the road, but you can't ride on the road and try and ride on the track...so he was never able to ride track to try and get more olympic gold. Yeah they were DQ'd for the same thing as the girls in the WC, the German front runner has only just started racing with team GB though so he wasn't at fault. To say they don't know the rules is slightly stupid no? Of course they know the rules it's there lively hood, its what they have done all their life. Like Cavendish said on the BBC, it's like the line for offside in football, if you cross it by a 1mm margin it's still offside, thats the same in cycling, if you miss the changover by 1mm your still at fault. Can't say there cheaters on basis of both teams now failing at major comps men @ wc and women @ olympics, think it's just unlucky. Look at chinese women, they had the worst heart break ever, told their olympic champions and then stripped of it and given silver because of the same thing. Except during the WC, they were DQ'ed for changing an athlete when they didn't have the right to do so. You have to admit it's a little bit exaggerated from one of the most prominent Track Cycling team. As for the start, maybe it's like offside, it's not really an issue but the sheer stupidity of admitting to fall purposefully and then backing that up by "He is german, he doesn't speak english" is really far-fetched.

Who said it was because he is German and doesn't speak English is the reason he said it etc :S He said it because he obviously knows he could lol. Thought they were DQ'd in WC due to the same changover problem the women had tbf? Guess not. The start is not like offside, what he did at the start was just abuse rules that are in place. Like cricket do with subbin' players. The offside rule i was getting at was the changover rule thing, where you have to be certain distance between eachother (reason GB women and China women were DQ'd is what im on about) is just the same.

No fastest ever by a non eventer (ie she isn't specific 100M hurdle runner, like the 100m hurdle record holders)
No multi-eventer has ever gone faster in the 100m hurdles and it is an improvement of more than 0.2 seconds on her personal best of 12.79. That is worth 1195 points and is a dream start to her campaign.
Jessica Ennis runs 12.54 seconds to match American Dawn Harper's winning time from the 100m individual hurdles in Bejing four years ago. Extraordinary.

Still lame to fall on purpose to get a better start imo... I really don't think they needed to do that considering the fact that they were ultra dominant, especially in the series. They took a lot of risk doing so, they could have been DQed, hopefully for them it did not happen. Would have probably been too much after the DQ of the british women

TBH I think its pretty unacceptable, I don't know if he actually broke any rules but we should have been disqualified if we did and I'd hate to think that the team escaped DQ because we're the hosts. And the rules should be changed in the future because its ridiculous that teams can get a restart if they don't get the perfect run.
