Reddit baying for a rematch of FNC-OMG. Won't happen because no time (tie-breakers are looking to be possible and maybe even likely for both groups; plus who knows how much time Riot has before they have to clean up and move everything out of expo), but I'm popcorning anyways.
EDIT: I really hope tiebreakers won't be decided by time-ratings. On one hand it makes for interesting 'against the clock' matches (which happened once or twice in DotA2, can't rmbr which team) and punishes the refuse-to-win syndrome that seems to be plaguing this group. On the other hand it's really shitty, and league of legends as played on summoner's rift wasn't designed to be a time-gated game (as opposed to say, CS:GO).

TWO KR team defeats one of which was a perfect (albeit rather boring) game, one back-and-forth almost-backdoor down-three-inhibs-to-win game, unpredictability and upsets from day 1... Perhaps the games from A&B may have been higher caliber (I knownothing), but entertainment-value-wise C&D triumphs them by a mile and then some more.
Groups A/B have an overall lower skill level. SSW was pretty much the only team out of those 2 groups.
And after the tournament China will be talked up because they got 3 teams into quarters and 1 into semis.
Most likely but we'll have to see how EDG plays in a series. That is supposedly their strength so maybe they'll not be awful and CN can claim to be decent.
as long as they dont default to a defeatist attitude, i am actually looking forward to it!
Well Yango was telling me that CN as a whole stagnated really hard this year so it was surprising to him that anyone was hyping the region. Hell SHRC loos like best CN team(Well aside from LMQ) at this event which is pretty sad. Hopefully bracket play is better.
Honestly China has been pretty mediocre, EDG are the best but are absurdly abusable as evidenced by AHQ and SSW abusing the fuck out of their early game. OMG have been strugglers since dada replaced cloud and they took on a former iG coach, YG has an awful ADC but may be something good next split. WE.A just failed best not to think about it and iG still iG.
World Elite is currently rebuilding with their last two legends retiring and LGD did have promise but they haven't refined their mid game enough and their top/jungle are completely worthless (Unless jungle gets lee, then he's pretty good). I had hoped that the games where starhorn and YG just abused their early game were blips but looking at worlds it seems less so.
Oh and starhorn is just a stupid team, they rely on going HAM then crying to zero to bail them which I guess worked so far?

On what ground?
Some bug involving Khazix's homeguards not being cancelled by kogmaw's auto during the last moments of the former's recall. Which is important because that brief moment of homeguard regen allowed Khazix to regen faster = come out of fountain faster = kill Rumblr faster = Nexus saved. There's debate over what is actually considered as 'entering combat', among other things.
Two posts regarding it hit the frontpage alr, possibly more to follow.
I'm just popcorning because Riot + bugs + competitive = mess. lol.

They mentioned on stream how it will happen. They will play a round robin tie breaker. If it's still no winner after that they will do a single elim bracket with the team with with time rating getting a bye in first rounds. It's not the best but I think it's a good compromise.
Any mention if it's all gonna be right after the reg. group matches are played or are scheduling it on another day?

It's bullshit, this "bug" has been around for a fucking long time, everyone knew it and it's only now that their favorite team are going to lose in groupstage that they're trying to find anything they can to save them. Such a pity
Sad thing is that it's going to serve as another excuse with the "that was the hardest group" to explain while FNC lost in groupstage. Hardcore fans are fucking annoying omg

Getting a bye for the fastest game is retarded, but i hope it won't happen anyway

Either way, Riot needs some way to go "No, we need to stop now."

Yea exactly doing another round with a bye is far better than just doing time ratings for winner.

Fastest win in the tiebreakers I think, so at least teams know to stall it out/push faster if they need to.
Its looking pretty hard for NA to get out of the groups LMQ needs to beat OMG and C9 needs to beat NJWS just for a chance. How do tie breaks work again?

you gotta have something to break repeated stalemates.
time is the better of the few options they have. gold difference would incite a team just not finishing and farm instead, KDA is useless too in an objective based game.

Why are you so salty?
Bug there for 4 years or 4 days, the only thing that matters is that without said bug Rumble would have destroyed the Nexus and OMG wouldn't have won. Simple as.
