I hate that it's event that counts for something and yet is determined entirely by fan voting. I think it'd also be interesting to expand the roster beyond 5 players and have it cycle. Maybe do a fan vote for starting 5 and a player vote to determine subs, and then cycle between games. Maybe make it so the final roster has one player from each team (although some teams really don't have an all star at any position, so I dunno if that'd be any good). | ||

If it's made by fan voting then it should be a spectacle and not some serious competition. Should have fun with it. The NBA all-star game is entirely fan voted as well, and some years IS a pretty intense game (other years it can be a complete joke). Oops wait, you said it counts for something.
