overall, despite the shit kespa gets, i still think kespa is superior to any realistic alterantive, and that will remain true for the foreseeable future

so far, it seems kespa in league isnt really that controversial compared to sc, thought that might be a reseult of league being newer and less time for kespa to fuck up and show stupid shit.

To me, at least so far, it looks like KeSPA and OGN have quite an easy time cooperating with Riot, at least in comparison to all the good ol' Blizzard vs KeSPA drama that we had. Maybe their close cooperation will prevent some bad stuff.

It will be really interesting to see the further development of the scene after Worlds, with all that LoL Proleague and new KeSPA teams talk that has been floating around.

I wonder also how much influence Riot will have with limiting kespa controversy. Unlike Blizzard they are taking a far more active stance and I wouldn't be surprised if they stepped in if actual controversies came to light.

i've criticised kespa's handling of player trading and whatnot in the past but it's also undeniable that at the in-game competition level they run their teams very well. the training and coaching are world class.

Fuuucckk been watching Royal's interview and maaaann I'm so conflicted. SKT fan since Boxer but Royal's interviews make them so likable nooooooooooooooooooooo. =(

if it makes you feel better, chinese fans apparently dislike royal, and piglet is the cutest. So, root for SKT!

afaik, Chinese fans hate the team not, not necessarily the players.

About KeSPA, it has it's obvious shortcomings but it's better than nothing (like what the west has).

It's only the steadfast WE fans dislike Royal, because they feel that Royal intentionally lost the last LPL game to PE, therefore eliminating WE from S3 qualifiers by the tie-breaking rules.

Don't whitezz and uzi have bad reputation, I remember hearing something like everyone on OMG never wants to play with whitezz again.

the hate started before the qualifiers

as mentioned whitezz and uzi dont have the best reputation, whitezz from some bad experiences with people on old teams, and they're both solo q flamers/ragers lol, same with lucky, who was also on the very bm and infamous EHOME squad (pdd was also on that team, as well as the legendary EHOME MAX who afked during a tourney game lol)

godlike afaik is very reserved and doesnt have much of a reputation for anything, tabe is moe and everyone loves him

Sir, EHOME Max afk'd on Saint cause he didn't give him blue buff LOL.

Wasn't a tourney game, but still pretty lol because that was at the height of Saint's career and he was like the top streamer at the time.

Man I just remembered that one IEM in Shanghai that they had back then with ehome and world elite, where CLG were in their prime.
IdrA won that tournament on the SC2 side of things - just made me realize how long ago that was already.

whitez is a rager and uzi is pretty quick to blame as well. There was a post where whitez was raging on NA solo queue ladder and it wasn't just light raging either lol

Our junglers are okay, Xmithie and Meteos pretty good (but junglers have always been fairly even among the regions).

I dispute that. China's junglers have always sucked.

What? Name another jungler that has performed significantly better than Lovelin during S3.

I think Lovelin is a manly man, but his success at Worlds has a lot to do with the rest of the regions being unfamiliar with OMG's jungle style. He is very good, however, but probably not quite as good as people seem to think he is.

ClearLove was a good jungler, but he's probably fallen off quite a bit now.

Lovelin is/was a feeder in LPL lol.

China Junglers blow. clearlove/Troll was awful too but he became much better in the period after S2. China jungle talent si definitely lacking.

Clearlove was almost 99% of the reason why WE lost to CLG.eu looking back. Guy was a feeder and got picked off almost about as often as Lucky. I'm so surprised Royal didn't just tank because Lucky fed real Clearlove style.

Luckily he has the likes of whitezz and tabe to die for his sins. WX and Misaya would have never tolerated such sinful behavior.

Clearlove also had very little professional experience to date at that point. Go figure being on stage for hours on end when you don't have any experience is draining on you.

Lucky has no excuse because he's been in the pro scene forever.

I feel like a big problem is that Chinese junglers sucking feed into eachother, it's hard to read jungle movements when they're all retarded. LoveLin got around it by mindlessly ganking at the expense of himself.

Jing and clearlove are pretty good, it was a massive blow to lose jing. I can't really comment on illusion as I was too busy screaming "WHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY" at the kid/zztai swap during every iG game.
