[S3 Worlds] Quarterfinals - Page 7

Two things as public notice:
1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +
Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis!
No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum.

2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future.

I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat.
Enjoy the games~

Lemonnation said Chinese meta is way behind Korea and will get crushed. Honestly from what I've read on TL & Reddit in the past few months, most people judged regions based on the All-Stars exhibition.

Ugh, I'm going to be on an airplane for Cloud 9's match and then have to truck off to school after I land. Why are the games at such a weird time.

Cloud 9 will win. Calling it now. Fnatic works best when they have a ton of time to prepare for a specific opponent and... they haven't had that.

Both EU teams go on the same day?

This is either going to be very exciting or very depressing for European folks.

Yeah, because Fnatic will need to "work best" to beat C9.

C9 is objectively less skilled in every single role in the matchup on an average day, even more now that every single Fnatic member seems to be on hyper mode and playing flawlessly.

The only thing they can do to beat fnatic is outpick them, which is very hard since Fnatic are the gods of pick&bans since forever because of xPeke and sOAZ's versatility, or with better team coordination.

So they're easier to watch for Euro's/Eastern NA. Hue.

Yeah, NA is lucky they have their multiple teams in the RO8 split over two days....

his statement also makes so much sense, because c9 had so much time to prepare for fnatic in particular right?:D

Also c9 comes in with all that international experience vs eu/asian teams.

I would give an arm and a leg to see C9 crush Fnatic just to shut Europeans up. Reddit/TL are insufferable right now. Every European seems to be underestimating C9/NBS except Fnatic and Gambit.

Go get 'em C9, we're behind you.

really? on TL I got the impression that there's way more c9 fanboys that think they'll beat fnatic easily.

The trashtalk on reddit was put up during EU times when you muricans weren't even awake.

also nobody underestimates sword here, infact I'd say the majority expects gambit to lose, but since I recognize your name among the few super NA fanboys I'm not surprised your memory only remembers anything that's favourable for europe.

Looks to be a great match that I'm going to miss because it's in the middle of class.

I think the best team is going to win and we're all going to enjoy watching some high-level LoL whilst maintaining some friendly sportsmanship.

Solution, skip class with 'sick'. Email professor. Wear no pants all day. Win.

lmao

Fnatic and Gambit wont be the teams coming out of Group B, don't worry.

The reason why I rate Fnatic so poorly is because they can lose to Vulcun. Everyone's on the Vulcun hypetrain since their win, but let's be honest, they aren't a world-class team. That inconsistency on Fnatic's part is going to be their demise. Just my two cents anyways.

took me 30seconds to find these gems from your posts. C9 2-2 vs vulcun iirc?

So much hype for the match! Am I the only one on here that isn't emotionally invested in either team and just wants a good match/ wants their fantasy team to do well?

Iono. I actually think the match is going to be close and that it's hard to predict. Either way I think the winner of the c9/fnatic game is going to get stomped by whichever chinese team comes out.

Based on my analysis, I think Fnatic has much better lanes and unless Meteos can gank more than he's been farming (because I think xpeke will easily outplay Hai not only in lane but in moving between lanes) c9 is going to have a really rough time.

That being said, my prediction is that:

Game 1 - Fnatic is going to really turn on the heat and beat C9 convincingly. Maybe not a stomp but a convincing win.
Game 2 - C9 is going to come back and catch Fnatic off guard and pull off a really quick game 2.
Game 3 - Fnatic will play it safe, don't get caught, and then rely on xpeke to just become super big and impossible to 1v1 while Fnatic just 4mans bushes all day.

Also, not to be a big Russian fanboy but I really want Gambit to win, especially if they don't bring out the Tuxedos in this quarterfinal.

Diamond and Alex in Tuxedos omg so kawaii guuuu moemoemoemoemoe
