This was fixed like 2 days after they realized it. It was fixed first on the tournament server. As much as people are having fun with the blue side op stuff, please don't spread old information around.

Well if there was a disconnect between FP and Side then maybe there would be a choice at the coin flip but there isn't so it's silly that coin flip isn't just who is blue lol(I guess it is anyway)

The logical solution is to let 1 team choose pick order and the other choose map side, but despite a whole season of blue/purple imbalance being a potential issue, Riot still has not implemented anything in client to make this possible.
