[S3 Worlds] Quarterfinals - Page 11

Two things as public notice:
1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +
Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis!
No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum.

2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future.

I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat.
Enjoy the games~

We even had one of the NA teams lose to the bottom-feeder team of their group as well, just like last time.

As for people saying C9 will balk at the pressure of LAN, they' 3-0'd the "experienced" TSM at PAX easily. The games were not close in any way. If they lose it will be because of letting Peke walk all over them with a split push Kass or something. If the draft phase is strong C9 will win, they prepare better than all of the other NA teams. I expect a 2-1 C9 win.

No, the point was that LAN experiences often are difficult for newer teams, but C9 played as sharply in the NA finals as they did anywhere else. If they lose, I don't think it'll be because of stage fright.

They also 3-0ed though. The pressure of a Bo5 doesn't kick in until game 4 or game 5 (or game 3 if you're behind 0-2).

EDIT: Also, the fact that C9 perma-banned Dyrus' Vlad because they couldn't ever beat it in scrims really should injure anyone's faith in C9 given how unsuccessful Dyrus' Vlad was against OMG.

It's hilarious that you can even consider 3-0ing TSM to be remotely relevant.

It's relatively difficult to gauge C9's power, as they haven't had the same group stage exposure. They've carried out their wins in the regional qualifiers (in addition to their LCS performance) in dominating fashion, to an extent that they can't really be said to be comparable to other NA teams. That being said, there's no good gauge as yet for their performance on the World Stage.

However, as an NA fanboy, I belieeeeeeve!!!~

pls Meteos, you are our only hopeeeee...

You're counting a game where they completely trolled and role swapped, on top of ad teemo?

I'm not even questioning that, I'm just disputing the idea that 3-0ing one of the worst teams in the tournament counts as "Bo5 experience".

Quadruple position swap plus TOO on Hecarim. If anybody thought that game was played serious by TSM... you need to get your head examined.

Sorry, but where are you seeing EU take games from CN?

The only EUvCN games we got so far involved the 2nd best EU team losing to a support Veigar in a fashion that looked worse than the rock-bottom LPL team that's getting relegated.
