Two things as public notice: 1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis! No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum. 2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future. I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat. Enjoy the games~ -Neo, Sept 23rd, 3:20 PM PDT, page 120 |

EDIT: It was Dyrus that said they won whenever they got Vlad in scrims, trying to find the quote.

Maybe it was because of Balls champion pool (Shen, Kennen, Elise, Rumble) all matchups Vlad has an easy time with and can get big.

It's also probably because Meteos doesn't gank the way Lovelin did to keep Dyrus down. Remember that Gogoing played Shen in that game.

On a note of lovelin to meteos I'll be a bit sad if we don't get to see meteos against one of these hyper aggressive Asian junglers like lovelin, bengi or watch if only to see how it would go.

that's true. I'm still amazed by lovelin's zero fucks strategy with doran's blade start voli/yorick. That bear will prob give tsm nightmares for a few days.

I have work training during C9 vs. Fnatic. I'm so sad righat now guys.
As for people saying C9 will balk at the pressure of LAN, they' 3-0'd the "experienced" TSM at PAX easily. The games were not close in any way. If they lose it will be because of letting Peke walk all over them with a split push Kass or something. If the draft phase is strong C9 will win, they prepare better than all of the other NA teams. I expect a 2-1 C9 win.

c9 has to draft against ahri and fizz, neither of which they have really played, and also corki is a new factor that has come into prominence for worlds, which c9 hasnt had experience with
c9's "good drafting" might not be nearly as effective in this championship than it was during NA LCS

I have no doubt they've scrimmed against those types of drafts.
If Fnatic is smart they will ban or steal Zyra, Rumble, and Varus/Ashe. Force C9's bot lane to carry more and place more initiation/less damage on their mid/top laners.

tbh game so far have shown rumble is hardly worth banning or stealing...i'd be very surprised if fnatic chose rumble as a prime target during their drafting

Fnatic seem to be the clear favorites here. Arguments:
1. Older team, with international experience + experience deriving from playing in a creative meta enviroment as opposed to highly conservative US. 2. Warmed up team, accustomed to enviroment, pc's, settings. 3. Momentum, confidence, current form.
However, C9 are not hopeless as they possess important strengths.
1. Cohesive, beleiver team who follows calls. 2. High individual skill. 3. Great and deep analytical exploration and mindset (Lemonation), making up for lack of experience.
Relative positive influence chart: (fnatic-C9) toplane: 55%-45% Jungle: 40%-60% Midlane: 55%-45% Botlane: 60%-40%
Overall i would give a 60-65% chance of fnatic winning the series. However, i am aware of at least 3 exploitable vulnerabilities in the fnatic team which might be able to turn the tides. I'm not sure if Lemonation's microscope spotted them but i could reveal them for the sake of an even fight, even tho i root for EU. hue.

eh. Tbh, I think Fnatic will beat C9 cuz I think C9's overhyped plus Fnatic's on a hot streak. I expect Gambit to beat Sword, as well given Sword's recent play. Still, if C9 or Sword really prep we could see things go the other way, but I doubt it

Agreed with the point in general, though Hai has played Fizz it wasn't exactly the most awe inspiring performance I've ever seen. One can hope he's adjusted his champion pool to adjust to the new patch or I could see c9 having to spend 3 bans against xPeke (Ahri, Fizz, Kassadin). I assume C9 will get blue twice which will make fnatic ban Zed, but that is probably the only 'needed' respect ban against C9.
I'm interested, given both teams propensity to run Ashe/Zyra if either team will try to ban/pick that strategy away from the other team. fnatic may be happy to get Puszu Corki, and C9 have shown they have backups to the Ashe/Zyra lane but even they would admit that it is their best bot lane combo.

They also brought the other nj team to help with scrims iirc so I think they should be good to go

If C9 wins we should have the whole sub play the US National Anthem for the rest of the day.
Fnatic can get Abba or something idk what Euros listen to.
