Man, life must be boring if you only support those with the odds on their side.

It's something I've brought up to Riot and hopefully we can rectify this.

Gather around the campfire and listen to Ol'Yango.

i agree, i just distinguish between "want team X to win" and "think team X has a shot (>10%) of winning"

Compare it to OGN and they're miles different in production and outreach. You can't honestly blame anyone for not following the Chinese LCS

Different kind of fanboyism.
Viewers chose historical favorites while casters/TL were all aboard the Korean Hype train before its tragic derailing.

Yeah, you bet with your mind, but you root with your heart. They should probably make the poll more clear.

They were a very good team, and that meta favoured them and their best champions which propelled them to the s2 championship. I think we may have to consider that the same thing is happening for fnatic.
xPeke and SoAz are both benefiting from the age of mobile assassins. xPeke plays the assassins well (Ahri and Kass in particular) and also has good control mids in Orianna and Lissandra. SoAz is the Zed player and plays a massive variety of top champions, including top priority picks like Shen and Zac as well as some oddball picks like Lissandra.
Cyanide is having success with his Aatrox and its pretty clear that certain teams don't know how to deal with it. He also plays Lee and Elise, two of the other top jungle picks.
Puszu looks like a world class AD carry because he can play a great Corki (#1 ad carry at the moment), or fall back to his default picks in Ashe and Varus, giving fnatic a range of options to build a comp around.
I think the biggest thing is that fnatic is becoming impossible to ban out. You *have* to ban out xPeke's Kassadin - now you probably want to take away his Ahri too, as well as deny Puzsu his Corki, but you also wouldn't mind taking away Cyanide's Aatrox as well...and who can forget about the potential SoAz Zed? Suddenly you come to realize that you have to give fnatic at least some of their champs, which gives fnatic a huge advantage in the picks and bans phase. They play all the top tier champs well and even better know how to form teamcomps around them.
tldr; fnatic could be this years TPA
No I dont agree at all. How can you say the meta favours their best champions and in the next sentence rightfully assess the both solo laners have a wide champion pool. They just both have a big champion pool and play what is strong on the current patch. Peke for example also plays a phenomenal Katarina and if she was viable, he would play her over lets say Zed or Ahri. Soaz also is probably the guy, who has the biggest variety of champions in his repertoire. Yorick, Zac, Zed, Shen, Nunu hell he even went Blitzcrank top in the lcs before. They are kinda outside the meta and can pick non standard teamcomps because they both can play so many champions.

I agree, fnatic aren't one trick ponies. They were strong at IPL 5 and they're strong now which can't be said for many teams back then. They've got a lot of tricks up their sleeves.

Maybe if there was an incentive to actually be correct, people would vote with their minds. That is, prediction rankings could also be done individually and the top 10, 50, or 100 get some little prize from Riot like the ones they give away for tweeting at them?
As for Dade, sure, he has underperformed, but shamed Korea?

You know what would get China on the radar? If they had a badass translator, translating everything into Doublelift-level trashtalk instead of the garbo one who can't even speak English.
We need someone like that IPL translator. We need to see the dark side of these teams. Villainize them and they'll instantly gain popularity.

Since gambit lost to ozone.. isnt there a chance that gambit will be tied to ozone in score? How are ties decided?

If their scores are tied, there would be a playoff since their head to head score is 1-1.
Pretty sure its a one game playoff.

It's been said that OMG are strong but if you get used to their style they're not that difficult to beat. TSM had to play them first day without much practice but now they can predict their movements better. I think this will pretty much all hinge on if regi can perform like he did on day 2. If he can do that then TSM don't really have as many weaknesses as one would think.
It's kind of funny that OMG kind of hurt themselves by practicing so much. I think, for example, if all these games were played in the span of one day and the entire tournament was ran in the span of 3 days OMG would get very far because their style is difficult to adapt to at first.
OMG is no LD.

The narrative for TSM vs OMG should be The General protecting democracy from the communists? Lol I think I have seen some kind of pic with that type of byline before. There is your villains, everyone knows Americans think communism is the root of all evil.
