Sure, most kr teams would never have gotten that stomped early. But actually executing that comeback, and not just getting sloppily brute-forced into defeat by Vulcun took equal parts skill, spirit, and luck.

I find it funny that only the NA scene really does this. There are certain teams that have this tendency to keep their spirit up and keep trying. I think it has a lot to do with CLG's influence in the scene in NA. There have been so many games of theirs that go beyond that 40 min mark, and CLG refuses to give up. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing, but it's partly why the NA scene has these types of games.

On a separate note, the fact that a team with a 10k+ gold lead still lost the game is just really difficult for me to grasp. I do understand part of why they lost(sloppy play and all that), but it's just crazy that these guys have proven themselves to belong in the top tier of LCS teams. I would never expect this type of comeback from any other region. I can't imagine an Asian team throwing away a 10k+ lead(Even European teams wouldn't do this). Seriously think about this game, and consider how many chances Vulcun had to win that game. Their first mistake cost them a baron, but they were STILL AHEAD 7k in gold. It took c9 around 20-30 minutes to really catch up in gold. I don't know if it's that NA teams do not realize how much of an advantage they have, or if it's just that NA teams don't understand what that lead means. There's definitely a disconnect between how NA teams play(and what they do with gold leads), and how other regions play. It's frustrating to admit, but there's definitely something wrong here.

You know, I might have heard about a game where a team was down 27k gold and won...not sure maybe someone should ask the casters if they can remember something like that.

Yup, M5 lost to CLG.eu back in season 2 when they were up by that amount
It was a combination of bad execution and itemization from M5 and great defense from CLG.eu

edit: it's not as frequent now, but iirc the casters would often mention this game whenever EG was down by a sizable margin and be like "oh anything's possible"

I love Na scene so much. Really enjoyed yesterday games.

As a spectator, i'm sure loving comebacks and fighting spirit that were displayed yesterday, so enjoyable. I'd rather see that once in a while that games which have been decided in the first minutes of the game. That's what i like about league of legends.

I find something unique in the NA scence, I can't even tell what it is exactly, charismatic players, old school teams, rivalry. I can't really figure it out what it is so attractive in this region really, probably a combination of all these factors.

Wow... that game would have been so different if Vulcun had an AD carry. Pity Zuna DC'ed every teamfight and Trist Bot took over, really hurt their chances.

Something i have noticed is that Cloud 9 has the most exciting games in the NA LCS. Really just constant action and pressure all over the map. That comeback yesterday has to be one of the best LoL games i have ever seen.

C9 played great but Vulcan's second half of that game was pathetic imo. They needed to dive with their massive lead but like meteos said they were scared of throwing. Ironically not diving is what was really throwing. Zuna's positioning was also inexcusably bad. To be a truly great game both teams need to be playing well imo and Vulcan went on a vacation mentally for the last 25minutes.

Def fun to watch. Not so much a clean game though. Then again, when is it ever a clean game if you lose a 10K gold adv.

I feel like there's so much to write about Vulcun's meltdown and Cloud 9's recovery...

Hmm I think you shouldn't really expect to watch clean games in LCS NA or EU. Personally when I watch it I just hope for entertaining games, I don't care if there are mistakes as long as it's an action packed/intense/fun game to watch.
If I want perfect games I watch koreans :p
