They don't even seem that bad. This season they have a 4-0 record against TSM, and also they have Monte who they can plan a whole series with, way better than in the usual BO1 format at LCS. And after that match they just need to get third place, right?

Great series, SKT only lost the first match because they got out/counter picked and from the looks of the first match I thought SKT was too stubborn to change their playstyle and Faker's confidence in thinking anything he plays will win him mid( ie Karthus against Zed) would be their downfall, but they picked it up later. SKT T1 are just better, especially Impact over Homme and MVP botlane didnt get 2v2s and weren't able to win the lane swaps/fast tower push wars.

SKT basically did a strat similar to Blaze's with Flame by letting Vlad sit top forever just farming and pushing except for seizing an opportunity to 5man siege Ozone's mid outer turret. Homme didn't CS as well in the 1v2 as Impact, and from there he was constantly getting pushed by the Vlad in splitpush.
I think either SKT or Ozone would be favorites in the playoffs for 3rd (assuming the other one gets top 2 along with Sword) so it's still possible to see both Imp/Piglet at worlds

Kinda sad that barring a series of perfect circumstancs SKT doesn't get a direct berth. While I'd give them a very, very good chance of making it in the 3rd place slot, seeing NJSW make it through via stomping lower level teams in NLB(and shield) kinda makes me sad =(.

NaJin Sword just made Worlds by beating LG-IM 2 in the NLB finals. Only two of Blaze, Frost, KTB, SKT T1, and MVP Ozone can join them.

It would surprise me if they wouldn't change the circuit system in S4, since Sword qualifying probably caused a huge amount of netizen backlash.

I mean sure I'm kinda mad too that they're qualified instead of one of the current "big3" but I think most people forget that sword is still better than most of the other teams attending.
