There were loads of Bo5s in tournaments before so I don't see why this would be a big deal.

Assuming two teams are otherwise 50:50 against each other, the statistical advantage makes it such that the winner's bracket finalist has: - 68.75% chance to win a Bo5 with 1 game advantage - 75% chance to win a 2xBo3 with 1 set advantage - 81.25% chance to win a Bo7 with 2 game advantage I understand the reasoning behind the loser's bracket finalist needing to "prove" themselves, but the statistical advantage of this format is absolutely stupid, and FAR too much.

- Unavoidable because of the number of games that need to be played--but groupstage should really be Bo2s. At this point, map/draft imbalance more or less demands Bo2 groupstages. - Bracket draws from group winners should randomized or chosen after group stage is played. Predetermined bracket draws opens up the possibility of teams throwing games to draw easier opponents.

Yeah that's pretty skewed. I'm not really a big fan of double elimination tournaments mainly for this reason. I understand that it is more fair this way (less likelihood of being screwed by brackets) but teams going into the finals with an advantage just makes them far less interesting (WB team almost always wins since they are likely already the better team and have a huge advantage on top of it). It also tends to be quite confusing for the more casual viewers ("why does one team already have two wins before game one, did I miss some games?").

The saddest thing is that curse.eu didn't even wanted to pick him to replace SuperAZE and preferred Patoy. patoy is legit good imo. Elementz isn't awful but there are reasons he's been kicked from two teams.
