If a teacher tapes the answer sheet in the front of the classroom the day of the college entrance exam and tells everyone not to look, who's fault is it when students cheat?
But the screen was behind them not front of them like the answer sheets. Now i would of course think otherwise if the screen was in front of the players.
It's not directly behind. With peripheral vision, the player just needed to turn to face his teammate and they can see the screen. Basically it forced the player just to stare at his own monitor 100 percent of the time.
Regardless of whether player look at it on purpose as seemed to be the case with Azubu Frost, the set up makes it really easy for players to look at the screen accidentally as well. After such a tense game, you might forget about the screen and might accidentally see it while stretching your neck or wanting to talk to your teammates or something.
Shit I went to sleep after Twitch went down in the third remake... What did I miss? So many pages of drama, too much to go through... Did they play the rest of the day? What happened?

So the fruitdealer who let his fruit on the street for everyone to see and to judge is responsible if someone just take his fruits and run away with it.
I see.
The players knew that this was against the rule, they still did it, they are responsible.
Because stealing a couple of dollars worth of fruit is equal to guys cheating to get a million dollars? There is reason jewelry isn't out on display on the streets.
Don't get me wrong though the players are to blame, but so too the venue.
Yes I agree that the venue is just bad and that Riot failed here, but the idea that only Riot is to blame like some people might makes us believe is just wrong.
And the drama train keeps running and running and running. Thought TL was different, but even here people start going "this is the end of esports". Too bad. Can't you just be "Yeah, this sucked, hope they do it better next time!" instead of calling for the apocalypse?
I don't think turning to teammate and peripheral vision would be enough. The screen was high above them which meant they had to turn their heads to their teammate and raise their chin up to see it (as both the frost and WE player is seen to have done). Just to be clear, i'm not saying riot is not to blame, i just think that players should hold some responsiblity as well.
I've always been annoyed by the 3 minute delays that riot has put in because it was useless due to stream delay, and the one time (this tourney) that it would have been useful is the time that they omit this feature.
Hm, this kinda sounds like a big deal to me. I was wondering the whole time why there is nothing behind and at the sides of players to block their visision. Just build a half opened box around them which doesn't even need to have real walls ... would even solve a lot of light problems with an open air stage for the players.

Oh boy :D You should see TL when in SC2 something happens. This right now here in the thread is kindergarden compared to the real stuff
As much as I hate TSM, Azubu Frost should be DQ'd from the comp and TSM reinstated into the Semi Finals. The evidence posted is 100% concrete. There's no way Riot should be able to dodge this. For the sake of the professionalism and integrity in eSports, Riot should do the right thing. An example needs to be made of this.

Is there any evidence TSM didn't cheat? I doubt azubu was the only team that dis this.
riot allready stated that they watched the players and everything was ok, they cant just dismiss that and tell us that the stream footage would be of higher priority than their referees.
well, they could, but then AF could use Riots statement to fight it. I dont think Riot wants this in a court.
i also think everyone did it, but thats not a valid defence for cheating.

Until evidence is found you have to presume they're legit even though they might not be. Regardless, they got caught.

Riot should get DQ'd for making it near to impossible to NOT cheat. Dude when there is a pause and you talk to your teammates you need like a Yoda-strong-will to not look that few cm further up. And if it is just out of curiosity for whats going on up there.
It would be way easier for Riot to blend over some graphics or just cloud the beamer visions. OR ... the most genius one: PREVENT the players from looking up with crazy SCI-FI obstacles like ... ummmm .... boothes?
good to see regi's being a good sports about it and although we have proof and frost and WE indeed "cheated" nobody should act hasty and bash frost superhard and if there's indeed a consequence for Frost there should be a huge shitstorm from the korean community and Im pretty sure k-netizens ( those guys are crazy) will find evidence that one of the western teams also looked behind them during a game at one point.

riot pls
People have already posted pics of Dryus checking out the minimap during a game pause.
When playing for a chance of winning 1Million $, I think it would be naive to say that you 100% wouldn't take a look at the minimap. I'm not saying I would do it for sure, but as Regi said, when the game is paused you look around yourself what the heck is happening and even unconciously you can glance at it. Just get over it, imo.
