Alistar moved to smite-steal the Blue from Meowkai. It succeeded, which set Meowkai very behind especially since his Red Buff had also been denied. Through consistent co-ordination SK were able to control the tempo of the game and constantly deny jump objective from CLG. This meant that Meowkai was mostly a non-factor in the game, and they lost a lot of control over mid-lane as Gragas wasn't able to have Blue against an Ori who did have Blue. As you know, playing mid lane without Blue against a caster with Blue is very hard. The lack of jungle presence from CLG also meant that Alistar was able to exert a lot of pressure on all lanes especially with his Oracles and it snowballed from there. However, consider what would happen if Blue was not stolen. In this case, Alistar would have been set very behind as he did not have his own Blue which was given to GP. To get to level 2, he would have needed to farm through Wraiths and Wolves and this would set his first gank timing behind while Meowkai could get ahead. Even then, with some safe play from CLG the ward coverage would eventually strangle-out the behind-Alistar and start a snowball in the other direction. It was a very risky move by Aranae to go for that initial Blue Steal, and it paid off. The smite steal itself did not immediately win the game, but it shaped the rest of the game very heavily.

Rest of the enemies have already respawned and get the buff. Possibly they already were so close to baron pit that the other team can't even kill the jungler anymore because they are low and have to run. Enemy team takes 2 inhibs.

Taking a risk!= random SK planned that 3 buff start all along going by @qvdeman's tweet. If it was risky it was a calculated risk. As one of the casters mentioned, CLG likes to give Snoopeh on slow junglers a strong leash so he could save his smite. Maokai was denied blue but still had the red available; however they decided to put 2 top so he couldn't get a leash from either bot or mid since they would lose a lot of creeps. Idk if SK planned this but Aranae most likely saw 2 top and decided to camp red then. THAT is what removed maokai from the game for the first 10 minutes or so. Major props to SK for being able to keep denying the blue, including an aggressive TP from Kevin's GP. Yes, Clg played badly. As Chauster would say, "Play reactively." Clg.eu looked like they were playing on auto-pilot as if everything was normal.

I don't see anything on deman's twitter about the game (strategy-wise at least).

What did everyone think about the Fnatic vs CLG matches? Good to see Peke in form again, but CLG just outclassed Fnatic, no? And the massacre that was the finals, let's not even talk about it. I casted it in German for a German TV station and I ran out of nice things to say about SK halfway through. M5 DEMOLISHED them without mercy. October will be interesting.

Let it be said that I hugged Tastosis (each one of them separately) and had my hand held in Day9's hands. He's such a nice guy in person, it's amazing. He was as exhausted as me and it was clear I no longer had any clue about SC2 but he took his time to talk to me. I fanboyed a little. What did everyone think about the Fnatic vs CLG matches? M5 and CLG still outclass every other europe team imo. The SK vs CLG game was tbh a terrible game by CLG. Froggen's anivia was bad. snoopie did pretty much nothing in both games and that baron in game 2 was a worse play then 1300. It feels like a fluke to me. As for the big Finals im mostly looking forward to m5 vs the koreans. I wonder how they will be able to stand up without any practice against them.

Diamond has always been a beast; he's about the only player who would confidently pull out a Lee Sin who would confidently pull out a lee sin and do so much with it. It's like he's all over the map. Now we just need to wait for NA regionals. I want to see a proper Nunu jungle. Cyanide was lacklustre. Go OddOne
