Except dignitas did pretty much the same (without lulu, so 2 support, soraka+taric) in an earlier game where Corki was the carry who won them the game despite them being 14k (!) gold behind (don't think I ever saw a game where a team was 50% gold behind, 28k-42k and still won). So you see it's not that reliant on any one champion (except maybe soraka mid). | ||

It's the fact nobody dies. In most fights, most champions will be able to use all their abilites once or twice. If you're able to pick off one or more people that less abilities (whether offensive or defensive) you're having to worry about. With the amount of heals/shield it doesn't matter who CLG focuses they'll expend too many abilities for an uneven trade. I can see this comp working on other AD carries that scale well such as Trist or Vayne. They might need to tweak how team fights go but just the constant damage output with very little fear of dying is how the hyper carry strat works. So picking or banning out kog or corki IMO isn't the solution, it's the soraka and lulu. But then you leave other champs such as Ryze up for grabs. I don't think ignite/executioner's calling is the total counter either as mentioned Lulu's ult and shields aren't effected. | ||

Dignitas was winning fights when Kogmaw had only triple dorans and Zeal, and Vayne had a bloodthirster+zeal. I think it's more of a "stall until our AD is farmed because we can with our teamfight potential" composition Who gets the kill isn't relevant to who is actually doing most of the damage. Kog stays in the back, dealing most damage, Soraka heals and shreds them with starcall (she has to be in the middle of the fight to make that really effective), Support helps protect Kog and Mundo soaks up all the damage, leaving Lulu to hunt them down and finish them off when they get out of the battle with little health left. | ||
