At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012 |

We hung out with Phreak and Riv in the catering lounge where there was free food and beer after the games. Living the rockstar life! Eating stale sandwiches and drinking free beer, then going to bed at 7pm. Phreak's already asleep in the bed next to me, I'm not far off.
So looking forward to M5 tomorrow. And EHOME! Please surprise me pleasantly EHOME, PLEASE. Kinda hoping for something interesting to come from EHOME as well, but not really expecting much...handicaps suck. Have a good sleep Zenon. Rest up for tomorrow, you have much bashing of Americans to do! (Or soeveryone else would have us believe.)

Not much American bashing you can do after day 1. 7-1 overall in US vs EU matchups.
Tomorrow should be better though- M5 is super effective against TSM and Curse is, well, Curse.

Poor Millennium ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
meh go USA I guess, but I would have liked to seen a stronger aAa showing -.-

What was the consensus about day 1? Fnatic sucked pretty hard? CLG trolled in game one?
Soaz or Voyboy were the day one heroes for me, hard to pick one of those, they were both fantastic.
CLG tried to win with mid-game tanky dps meta but failed on a team fight at dragon, and even harder at baron so their strat looked more trollish than it actually was.
I'm still waiting on someone making a gif of that sprint across the stage you did after interviewing Chauster and Scarra before your cast of game 2.
Millenium were more disappointing for me then Fnatic, not that they deserved to advance in this group but boy were their games sloppy. I mean, Fnatic had that pretty awesome comeback vs Dignitas and even if they played poorly despite that game, isn't that how they always are unless they're at an event they decide to just be better than everyone else and win?

So what was the deal with AD Ahri, I only saw the highlight video, vod isn't posted yet. is it worth watching? was CLG able to come back because AD Ahri was basically irrelevant lategame (my theory)?

Would you rather them forfeit automatically? That's the only other option.

Wait, GreenGT...
You made highlights of every game today, and an "overall" highlights reel, and already uploaded them?
Are you serious?
That's amazing- can't wait to watch (stuck at work atm).

That's the only other option. well, see it from the perspective of the others teams. lets say curse goes though, only because wickd played with them. i would be pretty pissed if my team wouldnt advance because another team could use another (maybe better) player. of course, disqualifying the team also sucks, but it would be more fair towards the other teams in the group

So shen really is still considered OP, banned or picked every match. Saw the CLG vs Dignitas game and it did seem really dumb of CLG to use Blitzstar vs a Janna support.

There are strict rules. For example the player cannot have played in an IEM event before for a registered team.

Shen has always been strong in organised games. His ability to split push and 1v1 most champions is the main reason for this.

omg, wtf did Dignitas just do!?

If this is the rerun of the Fnatic vs Dig game, they herpa-derped it up. Made for a great game tho.

Go sleep you! :p

That fnatic vs dig game was just so much fun to watch. So glad they are rebroadcasting, I gave up on watching the tournament live very early.
|
uhg, I dunno, dig just threw sooooo hard. why even go for that first baron?
|
zzzz sorry Mogwai, didn't realise you were watching a rerun

I feel like the CLG v Dignitas matchup is just an illustration of how ludicrous spell vamp is in League. On that fight at Baron, Scarra with no tank items except WotA is effectively unkillable because he has like 25% spell vamp and short cooldowns.

Dignitas played like Dignitas does, stomp when everyone doesn't expect them to.
CLG played amazing and just outsmarted too many of the EU teams lol (like Fnatic and aAa). This is what happens when you don't bother to research your opponents properly (herp derp ziggs ban from aAa).
aAa played great and then went in an picked Alistar, which it seems nRated is awful at (idk why they did they this in the most important games but they've practically never run Alistar before (always Leona/janna)) - and it shows, nRated couldn't land any of his combos in either of those two games (though the one v clg was just clg going beastmode)
Millennium - 0-5, well nothing really to comment on, expected to come into the event with a long long shot, didn't work obviously.
Fnatic: ugh this is another case of teams not bothering to research what your opponents play (a lot of teams knew about support gallio, for some reason fnatic missed the memo and making that talon pick screw them up so badly), somehow they also managed to lose to alternate too (missed this one)
Alternate: Not much to say besides the upset v fnatic.
The game of CLG v Fnatic does show why picking and counterpicking are so important atm
