[IEM] Kiev Discussion - Page 38

At any point of IEM Kiev, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. (e.g. "Day 2: M5 hype was everything people expected") At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Kiev but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 20.1.2012

Party because of time difference, partly because more resources in NA in-case there's a critical error in the patch so it gets fixed before it deploys on EU. Well i dont know if they improved upon that, but the Asia server was behind like 1 or 2 patches. Not important for this tournament, but otherwise a good reason not to take the newest patch :-p

Are all SC2 patches actually released on the same day? The league patches are all released on the same week (just different days). It isn't like Europe servers get the patches weeks afterwards. The SEA server is run by a different company for league so they do as they please ^_^

SK has a good tank/distraction line in the form of Kassadin, Riven and Rammus, which should help Vayne gets her deeps on. And with Soraka backing them up, it feels good. But will have to see. Curse just has so much CC. If Galio gets a good ult off, they should win.

The fact they keep it on the old patch is interesting to me.

The fact they keep it on the old patch is interesting to me. NA patches on Tuesday, EU patches on Wednesday. So it's not out of line with SC2. The only difference would probably be with the SEA server, but that's not run by Riot as it's licensed out to Garena instead. Tournament Realm is one patch back to ensure the meta isn't suddenly thrown out of balance and to give players time to adapt.

Aren't TSM a lock regardless of their result against White Lotus? They already have 2 wins and only one of Curse/SK will get to 2 wins.
