he has a good point though. I feel that SK loses when they argue amongst themselves or get too cocky. They probably are their own worst enemies

Who are playing for SK, did CP get a visa?

I can't remember the last time that Hotshot played a caster well in a tournament. Not like how he plays his other characters with such skills. No one saw it but he apparently wrecked at MLG as Ori. HSGG's Orianna is really fucking good. Probably not as good as jiji but still really good. HSGG introduced Ori to Jiji. I don't think he's Jiji level (who is?) but he's still really good. ?
Both of them played ori since the day she was released. Hotshot declared her awful and fed with her for 2-3 days straight.

Because people didnt utilise orianas shied for the first week properly. And people tought that orianas ball is too complicated to manage at start. Was a skill shot ap hero which was like "wtf"
Miss a ball fucked for 4 sec.

So Hotshot had some issues on his machine--possibly driver related--where he had a blackscreen for three seconds. This happened apparently every time he got ganked. SK were watching over his shoulder and they confirm he shouldn't have died the first gank, so that's really a shame, but I think CLG would have lost the game anyway.
Exciting semis tomorrow!

Hahaha oh man, ESPIONAGE IN E-SPORTS, brings back the good ol' chess stories!

I didn"t watch any game, but it seems from the pick that Ezreal is finaly getting the love he deserve. Would never understand people thinking he was underpowered. Was only because Corki was so outrageously good at dealing damage.

Is there any way to view Free VODs or something? Sorry if this question has been asked before. I want to see Ez pwning lol

Are there VODs / Replays available ? I missed the games

Exciting semis tomorrow! Probably. Even with the black screen(s) he wasn't playing particularly intelligently, nor were the rest of the team. Didn't really like their picks, either. I would've rather them have gone something like ali/kog bot, which would've been rape-train later on. Kog easily highest damage carry lategame, plus you've got zil for a second life if they try to dive him (and if they don't, he just kills them all). Really felt like the Urgot pick was out of place.

i understand your excitement and your need to defend the tournament, but if you go back in your day and count the times you or your co-caster said "thats unfortunate, but X would have lost anyway", you maybe can acknowledge that there are some serious problems. Its even worse in group A where for example IG had a couple of disconnects during their games and later had to go home because they didnt finish their games fast enough.
Well, still there were good games today and at least you didnt do a Phreak and simply ignore the disconnects and talk about the importance of support farm :p

I'd like to have the full picks/bans history. Too bad it's Talon patch though, I'm really curious to see if 800 range Orianna is considered as powerful now.

Anyone know where the vods are going to be for the group b matches? I had to go to bed.

I wonder which layer of hell navigating the ESL website is.

Riot will probably (?) put them up on their IEM website, but who knows how long that will take.

Honestly CLG throwing the game is the best play-to-win decision, given that CLG clearly thinks they will beat SK. Winning that game will only backfire:
1) They will play ehome, who went 2-1 with a lost a game due to a d/c. That is really risky to play, considering how well documented CLG is and how unknown ehome is. 2) WE looked extremely sharp, and their execution, especially early game, is ridiculously refined. (Talking about WE vs Millennium.) Even if CLG has an idea of how to handle WE, there's no reason to give their strats away in round robin when they already have advanced. By picking some random team comp, they have a better feel for WE's playstyle without revealing anything. 3) They get to see more of the playstyle of the finalist, which is the biggest key.
The tournament format is pretty silly, but given how it's set up why wouldn't you play to win the whole thing when money is on the line?
