Game 2, Udyr vs. GP wasn't just Saint playing better, that jungle matchup is just generally skewed due to the huge speed differential (of the most commonly picked junglers right now, Phoenix Udyr is the fastest while GP is the slowest). Snoopeh either needed to choose a more defensive path that covers his most vulnerable camps, or the team needed to be ready to back him up (Taric would have been very good for this, as his level 1 fighting power is very good), or SK should have invaded Saint's red side level 1, knowing that Saint would invade Snoopeh's red side (admittedly this was probably not a good option because CLG picked a fairly strong level 1 team).
Game 3--if you don't pick a team that can defend Amumu's jungle at early levels, or do not play well doing so, you shouldn't pick Amumu. It's arguably part of why Amumu has lost popularity at high levels on US (even extremely proficient Amumu players like Dan Dinh have been playing him much less in competitive games). While inexperienced and sloppy counterjungling will be relatively ineffective against Amumu due to his speed, coordinated efforts from high-level teams can abuse Amumu's weak presence in pre-6 fights and force fights in Amumu's jungle. Likely this was also part of the reasoning for the Taric pick, as again, Taric is quite solid for those kinds of low-level scuffles (though at the same time, I'm curious why they chose Taric instead of Alistar when Ali was in the pool).

Oce's Akali and Janna were bad picks, with a more classic AP mid the games CLG won would have been less one-sided IMO.

SK CLG restream starting now.

CLG scrims with TSM really seem to be paying off, especially for Saint. He seems to be getting nearly as good at counter jungling as TheOddOne while still maintaining his superior farming/ganking ability.
I really wish Dignitas was there though, can wait for IPL3 too see them in a major international tournament, they've been dominating the NA scene lately.

jana was just a really weak pick. A lot of people say sk didn't expect a sivir, but seriously just about any good ad mid wouldve out played janna: TF, vayne, caitlyn, urgot. Alot of people get caught up in the meta of Ap mid and then try to counter that, but CLG ismarter than that and can just counter pick. Honestly im surpried i haven't seen a brand yet. Imo bran wouldve been a major pick for sk that would've most likely controlled mid and provided good aoe an utility in team fight.
I agree with another comment on the thread where someone side sk is narrow minded for just banning clg's best champions instead of banning the champions that counter your set up. if sk wouldve just banned galio it mightve been a completely different game. Also a jungle nocturne instead of amumu would've probably been a solid pick against all that aoe and would've defintley jungled better than gp
Overall sk failed because they didnt adapt. Clg quickly adapted and instead of banning irelia or amumu, they expected sk to pick them and as such could quickly counter pick two champions.

I am excited to see RS play at IPL, but what I really want to see is them play against some EU/Asian teams. Those are always the most interesting kinds of games.

Pobelter and Salce won't be there either, so IMO, that kinda evens things out.
Sadly, it probably means that CLG or TSM will win.

I think they were counter-picking Taric from SK. Not sure. I dunno how much SK plays Taric/Ali.

Cass was banned.

I hear it a lot with Candy Panda as well where people say they're the best players and so on but I've never seen many examples of them doing well, especially in tournament games they often seem outclassed on their lanes.
CandyPanda is good and probably the best bottom lane in the game. The problem is that he is overly aggressive in teamfights and gets caught too easily in teamfights. He has cost SK wins before cause he dived in to try to kill people. Compare that to someone like Jiji who always loses his lane a lot but does great in teamfights.

He's a big part of the reason that amumu was so behind and SV could counter jungle so much. Having support + jungler run into your jungle is so much scarier.
I'm almost 100% sure that it was Saint telling him where to go.
Taric is part of their AoE team. Even without AP, Radiance/Shatter combo HURTS and boosts everyone else's damage.

Match 2 between CLG and SK starting on the stream.

The thing about elementz is that he is not the best player (he's an okay support player, nothing special) but he is an amazing theorycrafter. Him and Hotshot and Saint make for the scariest theorycrafting team outside of maybe RS (dat Scarra). I don't think Elementz will ever win any awards for his individual skill, but his team performance is bar none.
My MVP vote went to World Elite's AP player, the guy who played Karthus and TF. He was amazing. It was a tie between him and Lucky, who played some AMAZING Jungle.

Taric can't have been apart of the AOE team, simply because his ult doesn't do damage in this patch. It does provide the really REALLY good aura, but no damage.

AoE aura that really goes well with Sivir.

Yeah, it's basically the updated version of the Sivir/WW/Taric combo that CLG was running around January right when people started figuring out Sivir was good again. 5-man AD + AS + MS auras give your team insane pushing, mobility, and Baron speed.
Just replace Warwick with GP because Raise Morale has even better synergy with Sivir's ult than Hunter's Call.

Last I heard our own LoCicero was playing in his place, is that true? Was it ever?
Edit: Talking about Junglers and players (from way back) I've realised what it is about NA junglers that I seem to notice. The NA junglers seem to have a much bigger effect on the actual game once the jungling phase is over. When the grouping and the 5v5s start, SaintVicious, Jatt and OddOne (Jatt and Saint especially) are so much scarier that what I've seen out of the EU junglers especially in tanky roles.

no offense... Some one-side story from chinese 1.HoshotGG spied on ehome, iG's monitor to ghost their strategy...(which was against rules, because when ehome and iG members went to watch CLG's game, they got stopped by ESL referee saying its against rules)
2. iG got fucked by ESL referee and discs... firstly, they were leading their group 2-0... and they went to ask for referee what happens if the group goes break-tie... the referee was like "i have no clue trololol", and then gave them wrong information, so iG member thought they were guaranteed to Semi-Finals... Well, everyone have seen how it went, iG huge lead against SK, then 9000 discs in the game, and they lost the game... after the game referee told iG that you guys are out, because you guys lost too fast, if you can hold 1 minute more, you would be 2nd place of your group, if you can hold 4 minute, you would be 1, but because you guys lost too soon, you get 3rd place of your group. all iG members were shocked, and like WDF, what the heck rule is that. if they knew that, they would definitely put their all effort to hold the game, 1 minute is not that long. not to mention they got DC and didnt get a rematch lol.
Now Chinese ppl are mad and they think Chinese team got scammed, well at least referees are biased, and they assume ESL dont wanna see Chinese vs Chinese Finals because they would lose their viewers...
Xpecial also made a post on Riot forum http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1312100&highlight=xpecial... that thread would be upvoted 9000 times if it was CLG or SK instead of iG
