It appears that archon and coop missions are a new effort that blizzard implementing towards making the game not so hardcore ladder 1v1 as the only main options for the players.
Lastly, A big surprise is slated for twitchcon on september 25th. (source:+ Show Spoiler +
This would all seem to imply as well that if you are no longer in wcs that you need to start preparing for lotv for next year and there should be some priority in having beta access with less lag to other regions(particularly europe) soon(ie. after the next big protoss update).
Those stories are being written by people who are uninformed. The trademark refers to a tournament registration service that already exists which was created by TeSPA a while ago. As you know, Blizzard hired the Rosen brothers and since then, TeSPA's work has become a part of Blizzard. This is simply a new trademark for an old service that was never originally officially trademarked. Blizzard may turn the existing service into something else or make it bigger but its not some new secret. What they are announcing at TwitchCon is different.

Well, LotV is the last chapter of sc2. They have announced that they are going to do a new IP after LOTV release.

Not necessarily. They could announce WarCraft 4, or another extension for Diablo 3, new content for Heroes or Hearthstone, etc. To be honest, I'd be very very surprised if Blizz announced a brand new IP so soon after Overwatch.
Anyway, if they announce something related to LotV, it might be related to the automated tournaments, or to a ladder revamp. Iirc, they said they were looking into those 2 areas already, and we have seen nothing yet. And I think both of those could use some Beta testing time before the game comes out, so they don't have that much time left... So maybe something that has to do with that.

If you look at the link, its says in big font. "featuring an exclusive reveal for legacy of the void". I don't think that this means its going to be for another game. I am going to say its confirmed for being sc2 related.
I'm really hoping its related to the video in the post; I hope it is casual/clan/allied commander ladders with more maps and options.

That would be amazing and would help SC2 a great deal lol. It would also be an amazing business model if they could sell Allied Commanders mission packs / campaigns or whatnot.
Hopefully they'll be adding more downloadable campaigns, hopefully this is how they go along with having "The storyline will continue after the LotV release"
I wish it would be #LL (LatencyLauncher) as in Broodwar - for people new familar with it - it allowed you to play online with LAN latency against everyone - even the Koreans and on any server.
I doubt it will be a 4th race, an extra expansion pack, or anything else that SC players have asked for or could reasonably be expected to want... usually when Blizzard says they have a "big surprise" in store for their fans, it's something very, very bad and related to monetization or microtransactions...
Hey guess what fans, we're splitting this 1 game's content into 3 separate purchases spaced 5 years apart... SURPRISE!
