if I remember right when he was first teased he was going to be "an engage support that's darker than most of the supports" (like Lulu/Rakan/etc who are all happy and shit)

Depends on ratios and base stats I think.

I could see him being best at support.

The gold share so strong.

I didn't read anything, just basing it on his kit. The camouflage part and Q are both great for ganks, and a gank post six snowballs both the lane and the jungler.

The clear speed will probably be a weakness though.

I dont see how the kit works as a support. All 4 of his spells look oriented towards roams/ganks, and he obviously has to be less tanky than Leona, who has the most similar support kit. If his waveclear is decent, midlane actually looks like a decent spot. You could use W similar to Taliah.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Pyke have like 3 gap closers, and a pull ability? Mobility creep has reached a new level lol. Makes balancing impossible, either he's meta asf, or Riot nerfs him into the ground because his base kit is too good.

If you played him top lane that gold share might be enough to actually temp jungle to give top lane ganks. But all that mobility would make him pretty safe even in a pushed lane. And he would be good at roaming mid. Depends on waveclear though. But in toplane you probably have the gold to buy Tiamat which solves the waveclear problem.

Given that his pasive makes it impossible to build health, IMO he is headed for 1 of 2 paths: 1) Midlane; 2) Rework.

His passive seems to make him super weak to other assassins, especially when behind. It's also strange because it makes Doran items terrible on him, and that kind of implies his first lvs in solo lanes would be beyond awful. Unless playing him support legit works, looks like a rework to me.

That or Riot buffs the shit out of his numbers, like they did with Kai'sa.
