Superior system ehm right lets just give ten orgs a monopoly on playing in LCS.

Tangential, but the word monopoly got me to dig around a bit. There's a relatively recent and similar example that would serve as precedent on the side of the LCS not being considered an illegal monopoly in the US; Fraser vs Major League Soccer.
Which leads to a funny thought; if Riot ever completely bars interregional player movement, that removes one of the defenses against a monopoly charge.

LCS is so insanely storyline driven, taking away relegations will completely destroy that side of the aspect. Also if you take away relegations in Europeans will be asking for Riot's head even more, and it would just be an even further argument to support the fact that Riot doesnt give two shits about EU. Teams can literally just sandback as hard as they want to and it could just make friendly gestures a thing since there's nothing to lose. Yes I know that American traditional sports manage to stay entertaining even though there's no relegations, but the world is way bigger than the USA.

Was there a single storyline besides "hurr, TSM-CLG" and "hurr, Fnatic Orange and Fnatic Black" in the LCS 2015?

They tried really hard to make TDK the playoff-bound underdog story, but it got derailed after 1 game and they lost to NME.

I don't see what LCS could be if not storyline driven, not like there are many good games
Franchising still sounds stupid. Does anything do it in Europe?

Origen could simply buy-in.
Honestly, franchising for NA seems just fine. TSM, CLG, DIG, TL (former Curse) + C9 are staples of the league since 2013. NRG/IMT/Echo Fox have solid money backup, Renegades can develop just fine so only problem is TIP, and this problem might be gone pre-2017 when Riot can go and implement franchises.
EU, on the other hand, is pretty effin tricky. Fnatic and technically, GIANTS! are only orgs to be in the LCS in 2013 and while OG/H2K/G2 and probably Splyce, ROCCAT and Vitality have decent funding, it still not enough.
However, this might be the one time when Riot's awkward reasoning about "NA's culture is different from the EU's one, so we implement franchises only in North American LCS", might work out just fine.

LCS simply exists, let's be real. People can go ham about "hurr, but we care about every game", but everyone knows that regular seasons are just placeholders for the playoffs and even in playoffs, barely anyone cares until like Ro4, unless big dogs are playing in the quarterfinals.

Where is this franchising talk even coming from? I know Richard Lewis reported it like a month ago as something that was being discussed, but did something else come up recently?

I think Rick Fox buying an almost certainly terrible team leads people to believe he has reasons to feel the investment is worth

Almost every season there are new teams breaking through wait why not origen didn't buy their spot so idk how it would've affected them By not being able to promote. It's a locked system, only accessible when the league expands or by buying someone out which would cost exponentially more in a franchised league precisely because you can't relegate which is currently the main risk of the investment

Just speculation with all these people buying up seemingly doomed slots for vasts amounts of money along with the earlier Lewis article you mentioned and how big a hardon Riot has for American sports.

I have a feeling Gosu is on Ember. The mic thing had me thinking he's interested in getting serious, i mean why change now?
I don't have inside info, it just feels suspicious to me

They already announced their ADC in LOD, gosu said that he doesn't think he's good enough to play competitive yet.
