Is it just them fat stacks of cash in NA? They are worth the most money right now. Makes sense to cash in and go with another team from a business standpoint. Indeed. It is not despite but because of the insane run that it makes sense to go to a high-paying team. I'd figure fnatic was a big enough organization they could continue holding onto them.

If I were taking wild conspiracy-laden shots in the dark, Huni had internal issues and RO followed him. Or Huni really wants to ADC, some dumb NA team agreed with him and threw out sacks of cash, and RO followed him.

I really want that crazy Mark Cuban theory buying a team to be true. Real $$$, see how far money can take ya.

Also, it would be pretty awesome to see him in the audience in the summer* split, doing Mark Cuban things. As the other thing he's known for, aside from his money, is him being a very passionate fan of his team.
*naturally, the Mavericks should forever be #1 on his list, and the NBA season is still going in spring

Think it's a little bit of both but if he's getting into esports just cause of the investment or whatever then idk if he actually will end up caring all that much.

Even if it's an investment, Cuban is a big enough name and face in mainstream media that him being there will influence the League scene, in turn increasing value in his investment into a team. If all it takes for him to grow his investment, him showing up to the studio like once a month, or something, I could see it happening.

I'd agree on it being a bit of both. We know that he has interest in basketball as a sport before his purchase of the Mavs, as the story of Audionet/Broadcast.com alleges that the inspiration was for them to be able to continue following Indiana University basketball after graduating. And I don't see a reason for him to root for the Mavs specifically outside of being the owner. Fair question as to how much he actually likes esports itself outside of investment opportunity.

The cupboard is so bare for filling out a roster at this point, even if he bought, lets say Gravity, who could he even sign? He either has to outbid immortals or play in a relegation game.

Is it just them fat stacks of cash in NA? Money talks and Delior, who the community loves slobbering, ran the team stricter than the Koreans liked.
Yeah, I can't help but laugh at this excuse. Shit, Huni woulda been so fucked if he had played for Samsung red... :D

i'd be happy if fnatic creates full eu team with yolo, rek, febi, odo and jungler.

tbh im not a big fan of imports in eu. eu has enough talent to hold themselves against any region.

There is always prodigal son "0-6 in promotion tournaments" Santorin. You just can't see him.

To be honest, I think imports would be good for EU in that it allows more teams to be good. Fnatic is fine with the RO/Huni loss, they could get Cabo/Odoamne for example, but that will make another team have to get a worse top laner, which is already a limited pool in the west. Even though EU has a decent pool, there are still undeniable shallow points (mainly top and jungle right now IMO).

Wait, really? Memes aside, it's pretty sad if real.
