Gonna be an interesting ruling by Riot. Its a fluid area, especially since both various European countries "laws" and interpretation of such a document as well as the North-american version of it are involved.
Also:
TSM was indifferent and determined to continue with the poaching—Reginald’s only response to Richard Wells was, “Well just do what you need to do”.
Thats so Regi. I'm curious if NA/European law varies on this.. what happens? This is the main question because according to this guy, oral agreements are binding in Germany, where LCS is being played.
H2K is a British org. Svenskeren is a Danish citizen. So its either UK or Danish law that is relevant here (which one is defined in the document, which we do not know).
Thats to decide the relation between H2K and Taipei Chingchong.
Then to decide whether TSM is guilty of poaching should be the language used in relation to the US legal system.

Let's be real, no one in esports can afford to slapfight in court over a contract. The only law that applies here is riot's so it's on riot's judgement of the case.

It is used to nail down specific parts, like for example salary benefits expected work done etc etc. Its used to create a foundation from which both parties can then work on hashing out a real contract. But the classic letter of intent can not force you to sign a contract at the end. The fact that H2k goes to a journalist in an attempt to get public opinion on their side and put pressure on Riot also makes me think they believe they do not actually have a legal case here. Except they seem to hope for help from Riot ouside of the legal system.
Or they just think that they can't beat TSM in a fight of that nature so going to the people who can help them? There's really too much to this story to make assumptions. Our earlier stuff was more just what we hope for hilarity sake. The situation is more likely to have all parties partially in the wrong.

Regi, with the way deeper warchest, can atleast threaten going to court to force an out of court settlement with H2K.

by h2k's telling of the story it's an agreement to sign a specified contract, not just to negotiate etc. that's above a standard letter of intent. but it may not be true. poaching rules are just stupid so i hope they don't base anything on that stuff.

Kasing should be a good suit, not so sure about Dexter, LOL.
Also 12,5k$ for Sven? What the...

Not sure if Sven is worth that kind of money and trouble, but who knows what the actual market out there is currently.

It's not like that tweet is wrong. I'm sure if Sven has grown as a person at all he'll also say what he did was idiotic.

150k salary just to blow it right before worlds with a single racial slur

no way sven is worth that amount of money

Not like there's a salary cap in the LCS so if that is what Regi thinks it takes to get the best available talent to him so be it. I'm sure DL/Bjerg are making a similar amount. Not sure about Hauntzer/KaSing, though you have to guess it's a pretty good amount.
I also think that the number getting out will significantly harm EU in the future because if you're not playing for Fnatic/Origen then what's the point when there's 6 figures waiting for you in Santa Monica. Really funny how it coincides with SK posting that announcement to try and build a new League team today since Sven will apparently make 2x what 5 players will combined will in that org.
