Four players from the LMS team Midnight Sun Esports signed contracts with another team while still on contract on MSE. Garena dropped a year long banhammer on them.

from what i understood, he signed one with H2K, but right after that TSM approached him, and now he wants to go TSM despite having contract with H2K.

In that scenario TSM and Reginald should be heavily punished for poaching then? Maybe even sell his ownership of TSM lololololololol

Which is even worse, lmao. Like, H2K should realise that Svenskeren will likely get banned if it's confirmed, even if TSM don't get a player. TSM won't give a single fuck about those fines anyway and they're losing nothing, unless Riot want to go full sports and ban them from transfer window or something, but we all know about Riot and TSM relationships.

H2K, Svenskeren and his family engaged in long discussions and negotiations that culminated in a deal between the parties. Both agreed, in writing, to execute a contract formalizing that deal. This was a legally binding agreement. eh pretty sure H2K have proof for this one, which makes Svens a H2K player. EU drama finally arrived with the help of NA.

Also: TSM was indifferent and determined to continue with the poaching—Reginald’s only response to Richard Wells was, “Well just do what you need to do”. Thats so Regi.

Its a fluid area, especially since both various European countries "laws" and interpretation of such a document as well as the North-american version of it are involved. I'm curious if NA/European law varies on this.. what happens?

Unfortunately it'll be more likely that TSM gets some slap on the wrist and afterwards we can wonder why Garena is bizarro world with this stuff.

None of us here know the content of this "letter of intent" or whatever to sign a contract. And I also doubt anyone here knows what this legally means. Let some lawyers figure this one out.

TSM will receive a $200 fine and reginald will be sent to the naughty corner to think about what he did Afaik what svenskeren has signed according to H2K's statement should be sufficient for UK contract law; but idk how it works elsewhere.

It is used to nail down specific parts, like for example salary benefits expected work done etc etc. Its used to create a foundation from which both parties can then work on hashing out a real contract. But the classic letter of intent can not force you to sign a contract at the end. The fact that H2k goes to a journalist in an attempt to get public opinion on their side and put pressure on Riot also makes me think they believe they do not actually have a legal case here. Except they seem to hope for help from Riot ouside of the legal system.
