I am having the same problem mid. The way I see it, there are champions you can bop and champions you can't bop. Now that tanks are getting play in almost every role I am having a lot of games where I can't bop anybody unless I catch the ADC. I just played a game as zyra mid and even with 6 items it felt like my damage was low.
When playing against the league of tanks you have to be prepared to fight for 30-45 seconds rather than the 10 seconds it usually takes. Traps or dashes won't save you, only very conservative positioning will. DPS as much as you can and only commit when you know you can remove the threat.

Why is it back to "tank meta" all of a sudden?
Just curious, as it seems just two weeks ago there were some good non-tank tops to choose from.

It was basically lulu-lissandra (nerfed)-rumble for non-tank tops, all of which are still seeing high pick/ban rates. Its basically the Jungle (Cinderhulk + the oft-overlooked earlygame jungle camp nerf) which means one fewer assassination target, Cinderhulk's uneccesary buff, plus Urgot.

Buffs to "tank" junglers (which they needed even before Cinderhulk was made), the Cinderhulk itself (probably slightly overpowered, which I think is getting fixed in PBE), the jungle nerf (monsters do less dmg.), and the nerfs to non-tank, primarily AP champions that were showing up in top lane made the tank meta come back.

Imo Urgot was probably already at least decent before the buff. The buff added 40~150 health on his shield depending on what items he has, which is a lot don't get me wrong. But Urgot was probably(?) reasonably playable even without that buff.
The circlejerk around him being super shitty was just too strong, which to be fair, virtually everyone (including me) and their mother bought into.

I still dont see why he wouldn't be a freekill top as he completely lacks mobility, and I've yet to have an urgot in my games that puts out anything close to decent damage. He's just tanky, and there are alot of tanks. I don't get it.

And more single target lockdown. Leona has good aoe lockdown.
im not sure naut does more damage if you count leona passive i think leona probably does quite a lot more i mean if you keep your shield up or get lots of ticks of E maybe but I'm not sure how realistic either of those are
nautilus doesn't suck at engaging at all you just can't go in alone with ult and expect things to happen, if you set up a good hook and ult when the team is around it's not bad at all
|
I think Urgot is a special case. His ult is much stronger against teams with only 1 or 2 threats and the rest of his kit is designed to destroy tanks with armor shred and on hit slows. I think he was honestly almost as bad as people said against pre-nerf league of assassins Fizz or pre-nerf league of mages Ziggs.

its about jungle not top lane at all there are still all the same champions that aren't tanks top you can pick

Meh, I know Naut's Q has more range than Blitz's, but the cc is shorter (passive doesn't stop retaliation like Blitz's E does) and not AoE (like Flail/The Box), and also since the hitbox on Q's end is wider if people position correctly it's harder to catch a valuable target behind their frontline.
Kinda agree the way it pulls someone closer but no into your team is probably better to poke/damage a frontliner without forcing an initiation though, so it's more forgiving than Blitz pulling Amumu in.

Diamond 5 took a lifetime but I hit diamond 4 in a day. I again feel like matchmaking is broken. No bragerino but I keep seeing plays that you just dont see above gold.

Apparently Overpow changed his in-game nickname so maybe they're getting someone else for top. Also I hope they get rid of Woolite and sign Tabzz?
|
They can't sign Tabzz. He is sub on EL.

Teams can not be Dignitas and let their players negotiate for their future.

Sorta like why ganking old Renekton at level 6 generally didn't turn out great. Out of lane he's about consistent poke, debuffs and pressing R on assassins or adcs.
source: playing "any lane Urgot" in normal 5s to troll friends before he got popular, so it's definitely true.

Nidalee at around 550 AP with that build. ~110 AD due to natural scaling.
Hunted Q is 300 (250% ad)(120%ap) so that's 300+275+660 = 1235 damage. 1235x1.5 (execution bonus capped at 150% dmg) = 1852.5
1852.5+ lichbane= 1860+550(.5)+110(.75)=2167.5 So around max theoretical damage is 2167.5 off of a single Q execute for that nidalee's build.
edit: fixed some math, made ap closer to 550ap, which is more realistic than 600. but not much changes. nidalee is still a bullshit champion.
