EUW is just going ham right now :p Never laughed so hard, 10 moonwalking champions is better than playing BW with 500 ping.

I've played 3 games, haven't noticed a problem.
Except for shitty teams. That's a problem! AwHAW!

Anyone know how to get team mates to buy pinks and throw them out somewhere on the map? I've asked politely for them to so so, told them that vision = wins, etc., etc., but because of my current ELO they think kills = wins and their logic is that by spending their gold on items (not vision) they'll get kills.

Tell a specific player exactly where to place a pink and sometimes they will do it. You must already have your pink out for this to work.
So far I'm 8-1 with my "Yolo push to inhib and never get caught" Sion strat. Even easier when people build armor vs you. I max Q over W though (obv E first), even though its not much good in lane you get nothing per point in shield, and Q is much better for teamfights.

Ouch, and it started to bug splat again like in 4.19. Thanks, DJ Sona, I expected you to be good girl.

Easier to tell them to buy pink than to get sweeper and even better, oracle.

Sion is pretty strong, the winrates agree. He's good tank and damage and has good cc/poke to boot. He gets free hp that adds up as well as has extra stuff that scales off health.
Normally all you do is buy 1 damage item (I prefer hydra but brutalizer/ghostblade isn't bad) and then stack health/mitigation items. Helps that you can use item actives when your passive is going as well. You can even play him as support bot lane since he can does good damage, is tanky, has good utility and armor shred, and utilizes targon's very well.
Also vision != wins, I buy 0 wards and I do just fine while I've seen bronze (diamond) players who buy a ton of wards just suck so bad at the game that they're still bronze (diamond).

I usually feel more useful by grouping with team once I get my 1st tier tower down, though I'll occasionally stick around for the tier 2. I think it depends on how go about being relevant in a team posturing/fight situation. My MO with Sion is basically "exist near the enemy team for long enough and they will fuck up eventually". Sion's abilities can devastate an out of position backline and if you stand around flexing you muscles at the other team, eventually they will screw up and give you an opening to their squishys.

Please don't give terrible advice about vision when every analyst has hours of explaining how and why having vision is important.

The more you can lead by example/specifics the better. Such as [when playing mid], "I'll pink the back of our red, could top or jungle please pink the river brush behind our blue or the blue bush?" Once you notice people getting to four/five items, just do a casual remind "Hey guys, let's make sure everyone has a pink before we get to six items"
And like many things, it's only going to pay if you stay consistent, persistent, and patient. You lose nothing if 9/10 people don't listen to you...but you do gain that one extra ward. And the moment you turn into the standard sarcastic, insulting internet persona, not even that 10th dude is going to listen -- regardless of how good the advice is.

I think his point is that vision is useless if noone looks at the minimap. Which happens in bronze. True.

Sona? Lane bully and ult is smooth and not bugged nowdays, all cool. She might suck against Leona/Annie, but she definitely has her niche.

Considering that Immunity almost qualified to Worlds Season 3 by playing rat League with ad Lulu, somehow, I'm not surprised.

Meh Nami is a much bigger lane bully, and Lulu too (if you're fine with no sustain and autolosing to Soraka/Sona/Nami). Her sustain is the strongest part of Sona's kit in lane pre-6 now, her damage on both Q and powerchord is really meh. You also can't really poke by yourself, you need your partner to stand in your aura and use the Q buff on the enemy too.

"[My] friend who follows ogn" is not an analyst.
Also, buying 0 wards and doing 'just fine' doesn't really mean anything. Players better than you buy wards and do fine, does that instantly override your observation? Players worse than you have tried following both paths and failed. Maybe not buying wards is holding you back and you don't know it because you have falsely decided '[you] do just fine.' Maybe not. This isn't so much about calling you wrong(although I believe you are) and more about pointing out how dumb and lacking in any actual content the statement is.
