But you can get exhaust on your mid sometimes (if ignite isn't mandatory vs someone like mundo). Leaving a 2nd summoner open on a roamer could free the posibility of maybe a second smite (extra gold, objetive control, chilling smite) Though exhaust provides a great gank assitance too ![]()

I think we'll eventually see solo queue with adcs solo vs a top lane and then a well suited bruiser 1v2 with a roamer. .

The bonuses from chimes rotate. The wiki has a complete list but here are some highlights:
The most important milestones are probably the earliest ones, 5, 15, and 25 chimes. While there are other power peaks at 65 and 95 chimes, those don't compare to the power gained by simply obtaining the slow/AoE for Meeps and doubling Bard's Meep cap, especially given how long and difficult it will be to hit those high chime counts. Of course, if you do hit 95 chimes (which takes a minimum of 41 minutes) you'll deal 315 + 30% AP damage in an AoE on your first four auto-attacks in a team fight, which is pretty sick. I think Bard might be successful a roaming champion but not for the healing and such that Riot has been hyping up. The slow and damage from his Meeps is significant, his Q isn't bad, and he can use his W for the speed boost (which is the same regardless of how long the Shrine has existed). His ult definitely has big play potential (and big fail potential). All of that said it is really weird to see a champion who embodies a lot of design aspects Riot once pushed back against ever implementing in League. I think they're recognizing that certain aspects of the game are fairly stale and that more variety in the basics of how the game is played might be welcome. Thank you for gathering this info. A further question though: can the chimes spawn anywhere randomly? I understand there's no trigger (such as deaths creating souls), but is there a maximum range from Bard, or do they spawn more often on your side of the map than the opponent's side, is the jungle/river favoured over lanes for spawn points, can they spawn in the enemy base, etc. I don't expect you to have all of this data ofc, these are more just general wonders.

In lane swap situations where your AD carry is just 1v1'ing their top laner Bard doesn't have as much pressure to make things happen.
