also lol perma banned. meh I guess it's fair to ban the accounts as long as he's allowed to make a new one. 1 year competitive ban seems a bit harsh though, but also makes sense I guess since it's not the first time he's gotten in trouble with riot.
glad to see jintae though, i've always liked him.
If I had to guess he's going to play tomorrow, as it is short notice/such an important match then they'll find a replacement. Or appeal the ban if that's a thing

Anyway, dropping it here as well http://na.lolesports.com/articles/competitive-ruling-team-fusion
Considering that Fusion doesn't have three eligible players, they're not returning in any form to NACS. Won't submit it as news probs because they're technically disbanded anyway.
3 teams will qualify from brackets, Selfie/k0u's dream is probs gone.

I just find it funny that so many NA pros have ELO Boosted and yet nothing happens to them. So many EU pros are extremely toxic yet nothing happens to them but this one challenger guy buys a level 30 account? Well fuck him ban him for life. Riot is a joke.

You are a joke if you claim without further knowledge that Yusui just bought one challenger account or that he is banned for life.
But oh well we should wait for the actual ruling and its justification anyway.

It doesn't matter if he bought 20 or 100000. Riot is just completely inconsistent with their judgement. Yusui should be punished and so should so many other pro players. It's completely unfair to keep picking and choosing who to punish and who not to punish.
|
For things like buying accounts / flame, I think no one should be punished.
|
Well if you think they should or shouldn't be punished it's another matter. Riot has decided to punish so they should do it fairly and punish all those involved. I believe they should just have an option to buy level 30 accounts with RP as it would be a far more efficient method of killing account hacking/selling than what they are doing while netting them an additional revenue stream but hey companies like doing things the hard way.

Otherwsie you would get banned for flaming a single time which obviously isnt the case. Also I have a feeling you are referring to things that even happened before LCS and its ruleset was in place.
But it is true that the behavior check before getting into LCS is always the toughest one. Afaik Incarnation and Mithy also got bans extended because of buying accounts.

Considering Yasui has been a frequent source for daily dot in the past this is likely his version of the story.
Based on the 1 year ban there is likely more to it

I really don't understand the motivation behind someone like Yasui leaking his own story. Wouldn't that harm any sort of relationship he has with Riot, and also hurt his chances of having a lesser form of punishment? I also don't get c9t. Weren't they just banned in the Spring split for doing something stupid as well?

I know that having the public rally behind you is helpful, but I think it damages his value in the long term. Well, I guess this topic can't go too far. We will never know who the source is. It could easily be a friend/brother/girlfriend/teammate/etc. I would just find it very odd if he was the source of the leak directly.

it's good for exactly as you said, all the negative effects can be deflected by the anonymity whilst you rake in the support
the article has already pressured Nick Allen into tweeting on the subject.

Ruling on Yusui:
http://na.lolesports.com/articles/competitive-ruling-c9t-yusui
Banned for 4 competetive weeks. He has been caught and warned 2 times prior. Every time more than a dozen of his accounts have been banned because buying / because they were botted. Seems like overall we are talking about more than 50 accounts lol.
Have to say I am very surprised by how lenient Riot was here given the multiple warnings and the quantity involved here.

He's lucky Riot hates Daily Dot and was willing to reduce the punishment just to prove them wrong.

They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
