Aka the guy who threw away $ 1.2 million. :D
Tbh that would make me go a little crazy as well.
I feel like anyone in the know could have told him that wasn't worth 1.2 million. The numbers people are buying LCS spots for is just insane. Feels like they just gambling to see if it works or not instead of actually building a brand/business.

Honestly I'm curious about how the investments in LCS are going to go because I don't think it will be worth it in the long run.

It goes back to my first statement, there is so much bull in gaming everywhere.
I'm biased against NA, but comparing NA's bullshit : results ratio to other regions across many games, we all know that NA has barely any result, with the same, or even more, dramas.
I think EU drama gets less attention but we have so many shitty orgs that it's baffling. From the very little stuff I heard behind the scenes it seems like people just prefer to keep it for themselves for the most time, but we still got stuff like NiP not paying players, SHC not paying players, Move Your Mothers, CW being a shitty org to 2 separate squads, SK drama, motherfucking Lemondogs, lolgiants in s5 spring and probably many I'm forgetting.

If you're wealthy enough, it's still worth a gamble to throw a million here and see if you can flip it for a few more a year or two down the road. Especially if you missed the boat on the ballooning of franchise valuations in traditional sports, and believe that esports is trending upward. Or in the case of an NBA team owner, one who saw/was part of the ballooning firsthand (which you can check out here, although since it's from last year, it doesn't have the Hawks being sold this year for 730 million).
Someone like Clerkie doesn't deserve to be a professional LCS team owner. Good fucking riddance his team got relegated. Wasn't there a thread where he flamed someone in game, saying that he [Clerkie] was relevant just because he owned a team and the other guy was trash?
