Sorry. Don't know how much the internal issues affected his performance. Hopefully if he stays with TL they'll sort that out so he can play like we all know he can.
Considering no one on TL showed up this year, his performance wasn't awful.

I'm not sure the follow means much, other than Hauntzer is a tryout candidate. Regi followed Akaadian on Twitter too but I don't think TSM Akaadian is very realistic. I would love TSM Hauntzer though, I thought he did really well on GV despite GV being a heavily flawed team that often left him out to dry.

I'm more curious as to who TSM and other NA LCS teams are going to import. hue Hauntzer to replace Dyrus is eh... could be worse?

Unless meteos is trapped in a C9 contract, I still think meteos + top import + NA or import support is TSM's best bet.

If tsm doesn't make it their #1 priority to get a shotcaller they are honestly stupid. Free bjerg already damn it he isn't even good at it.

Flesh this out further, who would you think for the imports top and support?
I personally hope TSM builds from within and gets more NA talent that ends up being good. Then again I'd just like NA to be relevant on a worlds stage again with their own talent (C9 days).

Because it's the best pathway to win World's, right?
Seriously though. When Dyrus ia a decent top laner in NA you can tell the dearth of talent.
Not that this is NA's fault, per se; NA has a very fragmented player base, most of which are doomed by high ping. We are lucky to at least be able to see decent ADC and support.

well if they have Shrimp, as is rumored, thats one import slot locked up

I think it's difficult to accurately gauge Hauntzer's skill because of the team he was on. Due to Keane's limited champ pool he was forced to a limited number of champs as well that could synergize with that pool. He also had a jungler that didn't even speak English well. I won't absolve him of the blame for some of his poor plays down the stretch (teleport plays etc) but with good coaching that's easily correctable. Saint and Dyrus have been effusive in praise for Hauntzer as far as his talent goes so now we just have to wait and see how TSM constructs the rest of the roster.
As far as other top lane possibilities, I really don't think there were many. We don't know if Impact is/was a possibility and he'd be taking up an import slot. Quas looked poor on the most talented NA team. Zion probably wasn't a possibility (side note: does anyone know where on the lolesports site the contract end dates are because that is important with this speculation). So aside from those (and Hauntzer) there wasn't a good top in NALCS to poach. There is close to 0 talent from top lane in the CS and solo q, Seraph is probably the best one which says something about the state of top lane talent and TSM obviously wasn't going that direction and I doubt Seraph would even choose to leave TDK.
This obviously leaves the jungler/support positions open for import players. Aside from Rush who is obviously the best possible fit I genuinely think there are several NA players that should be getting shots at the LCS like Dardoch, Hard (though we assume he's going to C9), and Moon. Support is pretty much as thin as top so the obvious best choices are Bunny and Adrian. I mean Baby continues to get on teams serious enough to get to the relegation/promotion matches and he's absolutely horrid. I'd be disappointed with TSM choosing any NA players not named on this list and wouldn't take their claims of wanting to be a serious contender internationally if they did so.
By the way the NA LCS is going to be horribly thin if the better teams just poach players from teams like Gravity/TiP. Since players would obviously rather go to a team like TSM/C9 they'll be forced to choose the leftovers. If you assume Impact and Rush are gone from TiP and Hauntzer likely gone/Bunny's name being thrown around it'll be extremely interesting to see how those rosters are constructed. I thought Renegades would be in a lot of trouble with teams just picking on RF but they may very well be middle of the pack just by not losing players.

Given C9's posts about creating a challenger team w/ Meteos, I think they have him locked up pretty tightly.

Well that's unfortunate.
Also, keep in mind Gamsu might leave Dig, that leaves another top lane to be filled. Then there is the vacant spot for T8 top lane.
Overall the situation looks bleak for NA.

If I am not mistaken a newly qualified team has to keep 3/5 of its players, while if someone had bought Dig.na they could have replaced all players. So I am kinda surprised a newly qualified team especially in EU is worth so much. Really wondering who bought it.

As long as they don't make Meteos the leader and shotcaller or else he'll have another breakdown.

The thing is, the talent situation is only really dire in mid and to a lesser extent top. There are maybe 4 NA players in jungle/ADC/supp that bottom teams could bring up and it wouldn't be awful for them. So in that sense, as long as you use your import slots for the solos, it shouldn't be THAT bad if import slots are used effectively (no more Avalons or importing ADCs when that's like the role with the most depth in NA).

Have to remember that EU was looking like a mess at the start of this year too while NA was supposedly on the rise. Too early to tell how things will look. Don't have to be so bleak lol
